James Bullard, President of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, was in town to give a talk to investors, government officials, market specialists and academics. Co-organised by the DBS Institutional Investors team and the Official Monetary and Financial Institutions Forum (OMFIF), he presented on "Slow Normalisation or No Normalisation?" where he noted that the relatively tight US labour markets may put upward pressure on inflation. This was followed by a Q&A and the launch of the "2016 Global Public Investor" publication, OMFIF’s annual sovereign institutions survey. |
