DBS Thai Danu Bank Announces New Chairman Khun Pong Sarasin
BANGKOK, MARCH 22, 2002 - The Board of Directors of DBS Thai Danu Bank Pcl
is pleased to announce the appointment of Khun Pong Sarasin as a Director and Chairman of the Board effective from 15 May 2002.
Khun Pong Sarasin has had a distinguished career in the nation's public service and industry. He served the country as Deputy Prime Minister (1986-1990) and as a Member of Parliament (1986-1991).
Amongst his public service positions, Khun Pong was Chairman of the Narcotics Control Board and the International Economic Relations Committee. Khun Pong chaired the Exports Promotion Committee, served as President of the Association of Thai Industries, and is currently Chairman Emeritus of the Federation of Thai Industries.

Khun Pong is currently Chairman of Thai Pure Drinks Ltd., in addition to being chairman of the board and member of the board of various public and private companies in Thailand.
The Board of DBS Thai Danu Bank warmly welcomes Khun Pong. The Bank will benefit immensely from his wealth of experience and chairmanship.
The Sarasin family is well known in the country for public service and in the business community. Khun Pong's father, the late Khun Pote Sarasin, had a distinguished career in serving the nation. He was also a past Chairman of DBS Thai Danu Bank (1975-1990).
