DBS Named 'Best Bank In Singapore' By Global Finance

SINGAPORE, AUGUST 22 - Global Finance has named DBS as the `Best Bank in Singapore' in its `World's Best Banks 2002' listing.

Global Finance's Annual Awards of the World's Best Banks include a listing of the world's best global banks as well as the best banks in Europe, North America, the Asia/Pacific region, and the Middle East/Africa. The selection is based on performance over the past year and for outstanding accomplishments.

This latest award follows two other similar awards received by DBS recently. In May, Asiamoney recognised DBS as the `Best Domestic Commercial Bank in Singapore' while in July, Euromoney also awarded DBS the `Best Bank in Singapore' title.
