In the first quarter of 2013, DBS delivered record financial performance as the Group scaled new peaks in net profit to SGD 950 million and we continued to generate substantial value for our shareholders, with an impressive 12% return on investment in 1Q2013, up from 11.2% in FY2012. There was also strong growth momentum in all the key Asian markets in which we operate, including our home ground here in Singapore. DBS Marina Regatta on 18 & 19 May, and 24 & 25 May
 Billed as Singapore's largest water sports festival, the DBS Marina Regatta 2013 will surely transform the Marina Bay into a scene of fresh excitement with all manner of water sports and best-in-class entertainment of dance, drum and drama. So come on down with your family & friends and join us on 18 & 19 May for the DBS Dragon Boat Races and 24 & 25 May for the DBS Bay Festival at the Water Promenade. The Dragon Boat Races have attracted the best teams in the region, including national representatives from Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Myanmar, Brunei and Singapore, all geared up to compete with passion, precision and aplomb!
It also showcases the relentless drive and self-belief of our people to ignite an enthusiasm not just for the sport, but also the sights and sounds of peripheral activities in a uniquely Singapore carnival atmosphere. There will be fun activities for all ages, such as art & crafts on land and in water, you can try your hand at sailing, ocean kayaking, sailing and dragon boating. There will also be concerts featuring popular local groups and F&B outlets throughout the Water Promenade. POSB PAssion Run for Kids 2013
 As we come together as a community to celebrate and share good times with one another, I am reminded that this is another opportunity for DBS to thank you for your continuous support. We are planning a series of community activities at the Marina Bay throughout the year, and I might mention one other thing to encourage you to sign up now - it is the POSB PAssion Run for Kids 2013 on 8 September. Last year, the bank raised over one million dollars for some 10,000 children and we hope to do the same this year. There are limited spaces left, so do register soon.
