Cards FAQ [Updated]

General
  • Can I continue to use my ANZ card after the transfer date? When can I expect to receive my replacement DBS/POSB card?

ANZ cards can no longer be used from 5 August 2017.

By now, you should have received a new DBS/POSB card that most closely matches your ANZ card, unless you already own the DBS/POSB card that the ANZ card is matched to.

Your card will arrive unactivated. To activate, please SMS "ACTIVATE<space>the last 4 digits of your card number" to 77767. If you have an overseas registered mobile number, please activate your card on digibank (mobile and online banking) if you already have online access.

You may also click here for options to activate your cards.
  • What if I already own the DBS/POSB card that my ANZ card will be matched to?

As you already hold the DBS/POSB card that your ANZ card is matched to, your ANZ outstanding card balance has been transferred to a new DBS card account opened for the payment of this outstanding balance. This account is not for further transactions. Similarly, your ANZ supplementary card(s) will not be replaced with a new DBS/POSB supplementary card(s). You can conveniently apply for an additional supplementary card linked to your existing DBS/POSB credit card here. Your ANZ Rewards Points/Travel$/Optimum$ will be transferred to your existing DBS/POSB card.

  • What will happen to the remaining outstanding balances on my ANZ credit card?

If you have been issued a new DBS/POSB card, your remaining outstanding balance, including any instalment payment, ANZ FlexiPlan, ANZ FlexiLoan and Balance Transfer plans will be carried over to your new card. We will retain the same remaining tenure and monthly repayment amount, where applicable.

If you already hold the DBS/POSB card, we will create an account for paydown so the outstanding balances will still be transferred.

  • What will happen to the credit limit of my ANZ credit card?

If you are not an existing DBS/POSB credit card customer, your overall credit card limit at DBS will be the same as your existing ANZ credit cards as of the transfer date.

If you are an existing DBS/POSB credit card customer, your overall credit card limit at DBS/POSB will be the same as the combined limit of all of your existing ANZ and DBS/POSB credit cards as of the transfer date. We may contact you to adjust your credit limit in due course.

If you hold both an ANZ and a DBS/POSB credit card, and if at least one of them is secured by collateral, there has been a separate letter sent to you detailing the credit limit you will have.

  • What will happen to my statement cycle for my ANZ credit card?

Your ANZ statement cycle will be changed to the next closest DBS billing cycle. We will notify you of the dates after the transfer date through your first DBS credit card statement which will arrive latest by early September.

However, if you already own a DBS/POSB credit card, the statement cycle for your ANZ credit card will be updated and aligned with your existing DBS/POSB credit card's billing cycle.

  • Will there be a change in my payment due dates?

Your payment due dates will be changed according to DBS schedule and may be different from your existing arrangements with ANZ. The new payment due dates will be in your DBS/POSB credit card statement.

  • How do I know when and what to pay?

Your new monthly repayment amount and due date will be reflected in your DBS/POSB credit card statement so look out for your upcoming credit card statement.

In the meantime, you may also continue to make your payments by the monthly due date as stated in your previous ANZ statements if you have yet received your DBS card statement.

  • What are the payment modes available for my new DBS/POSB Credit Cards?

You can make your payment to your new DBS/POSB card accounts via:

    • DBS/POSB Digibank (online/mobile)
    • DBS/POSB ATM
    • AXS/SAM

  • What will happen to the existing GIRO arrangements on my ANZ credit cards?

If you used to pay your ANZ card bills via GIRO from an ANZ or DBS/POSB current/savings account, the same arrangement has been transferred for your new/existing DBS/POSB credit card bill.

But if payments are from banks other than ANZ/DBS/POSB, you will have to set up a new GIRO arrangement with your new/existing DBS/POSB card.

You may conveniently set up a new GIRO arrangement on your DBS/POSB card through digibank (online banking).

  • How do I check on my past ANZ Transactions performed on my migrated Credit Cards?

For transactions performed before the last ANZ statement cycle, you may refer to the statements that were sent to you by ANZ.

For transactions performed after the last ANZ statement cycle, you may refer to subsequent statements sent out by DBS.

Alternatively, you may also check via DBS digibank for these transactions performed after the last ANZ statement cycle as well as the status of your migrated accounts.
