Overview

Also known as Demand Draft (PayEasy). With this service, DBS can mail foreign cheques on your behalf.

A demand draft is a written order issued by DBS to our overseas correspondents to pay a stated amount (foreign currency or SGD) to your receiving party. DBS or our overseas agent will pay your receiving party when the demand draft is deposited and cleared by the receiving party’s bank.

If you need to make fixed payments to the same overseas party regularly (eg. monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, yearly), you may sign-up for our standing instruction. Simply provide a one-time instruction to the bank to issue a demand draft for the fixed amount based on the frequency you have specified.

  1. Login to DBS iBanking.
  2. Click on "PayEasy" on the left navigation bar under "Payment Services". Decide if you want to mail a local or foreign cheque.
  3. Register your payee online.
  4. Select the payee and type in the amount.
  5. DBS will mail the cheque/demand draft.
