About DriveShield Application Online

  1. What payment modes are acceptable?

    You can purchase DriveShield with any of your credit cards or via direct debit from your DBS/POSB, UOB or Citibank internet banking account.

  2. How do I pay by Credit?

    Step 1:
    Click on 'eNETS Credit' at the Application Summary page.

    Step 2:
    You will then be redirected to the eNETS Credit gateway page. Enter your Name, Credit Card Number and Expiry Date then click 'Submit'.

    Alternatively, you may log on to 'eNETS Credit' to enter your 'eNETS ID' and the 'PIN' and select your 'Credit Card Alias'.

    Step 3:
    You will be shown a pop-up box. Click on 'OK' if you want to continue with the transaction and 'Cancel' if you want to terminate the transaction.

    When your transaction is successful, you will be provided with an electronic receipt. You can print out a copy for reference.

  3. How do I pay by Direct Debit?

    You will need your iBanking 'User ID' and 'PIN' from any of the following banks:

    1. DBS/POSB Bank
    2. UOB Bank
    3. Citibank

    Step 1:
    Select 'eNETS Debit' as your preferred payment option.

    Step 2:
    Select your preferred bank.

    Step 3:
    Enter your iBanking 'User ID' and 'PIN'. Click 'Submit' to authorise the transaction.

    When your transaction is successful, you will be provided with an electronic receipt. You can print out a copy for reference.

  4. Will I be charged to use this service?

    No, this service is free of charge.

  5. When will my application for DriveShield be completed?

    Your application for DriveShield will only be completed when your payment transaction is successful. Please remember to fax a copy of your Vehicle Log Card to MSIG Insurance at 6827 7805 within 3 days of your application.

  6. How do I know that my transaction has been successfully processed?

    You will receive an electronic receipt once your transaction has been successfully processed.

  7. When will I receive my policy?

    You will receive your DriveShield policy by mail within 7 business days once MSIG Insurance has received a copy of your vehicle Log Card and successfully processed your application.

  8. Who can I contact if I want to make changes to or enquire on my application?

    You may contact MSIG Insurance at 6827 7607.

  9. Who can I contact if I encountered technical problems when making my payments online?

    You may email the details of your technical problems to info@nets.com.sg or call NETS Call Centre at 6274 1322 during office hours.

    • To serve you better, please provide the following information:

    • Date and time when error occurred
    • The error message(s) or describe the screen you encountered
    • Your Credit Card type
    • The Operating System (Windows, Macintosh, Unix) you are using
    • Browser (Microsoft Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator)
    • Your contact number during office hours
  10. What type of hardware do I need to make my payments online?

    We recommend the following:

    • PC with at least a Pentium 133MHz processor or faster
    • 32 MB RAM or higher
    • SVGA or higher resolution monitor, 256 colours minimum
    • Modem of 28.8 kbps or higher
    • Windows 9x / NT / ME / XP Operating system

    Note: Please ensure that Java & JavaScript functions are enabled on your browser.

  11. Can I use other operating systems, other than Win9x/NT?

    eNETS Credit was developed specifically for Windows 9x or NT or XP operating system. Other operating systems may not be compatible.

  12. There is a "Java Script Error" message on my computer. What should I do?

    This usually happens when a transaction is attempted before the Java applet is completely loaded into your PC.

    To reload the applet, click on the toolbar, re-select the transaction and wait for the loading to be completed before you proceed. If this does not help, try clearing the browser's cache before you log in again.

  13. What should I do if I see "This program has performed an illegal operation" message on my PC?

    This is commonly known as GPF (General Protection Fault). You'll have to restart your browser. If the problem persists, please consult your PC vendor.

  14. I am using Internet Explorer 6 and am unable to access the payment pages. What can I do?

    Internet Explorer 6, which ships with Windows XP, is not pre-installed with the Microsoft® Virtual Machine (VM), a component which is required to run Java applets. Java technology is used on the e-payment system to ensure greater security.

    As such, you will need to install the Microsoft® VM in order to proceed with your transaction. Please follow the instructions on screen when prompted, or click here for instructions on downloading and installation.
