MasterCard inControl service (“Service”) enables you to set restrictions and receive notifications (for eg:.sms and email alerts) from time to time for transactions performed on your card and supplementary card(s).
inControl allows you to invoke transaction restrictions and controls for your card and supplementary cards. These transactions restrictions and controls can be changed by your accessing inControl through DBS Internet banking.
The Service allows you to request and receive SMS and e-mail messages about usage on your card and supplementary card(s). At the moment, this service is only available to POSB EveryDay MasterCard. DBS may add other DBS/POSB MasterCards to this service in the future.
By signing up to the Service, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions:
With the Service, you may set alerts and transaction restriction(s) for your personal and supplementary MasterCards. Once your transactions exceed certain thresholds that you have pre-set, the Service will send email and/or sms alerts to your mobile phone, an e-mail account that is accessed via a personal computer, or both. You shall ensure that your mobile phone service provider supports text messaging and that your telephone or other mobile phone is capable of receiving text messages. All fees and charges imposed by your mobile phone service and internet service provider will be solely borne by you.
You accept that (i) DBS will use the email and/or sms details provided by you on an “as is” basis; (ii) each inControl alert will be sent to your email address or mobile phone number without being encrypted and at your own risk; and (iii) each inControl alert may include the transaction details of your card and that of your supplementary cardholder(s).
ou acknowledge that your inControl data including reports, contact details and control settings may be not be retrievable in the event of a change in your card number. You may not be able to access the Service if you are not able to access the DBS internet banking service.
You accept that the inControl alerts and transaction controls may be delayed, prevented, inaccurate, ineffective or bypassed due to (i) Merchant account setup; (ii) Merchant transaction processes; (iii) an inControl system outage; (iv) any factor affecting your cellular phone service provider, internet service provider(s); or (v) any occurrence/event that is not within DBS’ control.
We neither guarantee the delivery nor the accuracy of the contents of each inControl alert.
You agree to hold DBS, its directors, officers, employees and agents (for the purposes of this clause, each an “Indemnified Party”) harmless and keep each Indemnified Party fully and effectively indemnified from and against any and all losses, costs (including legal costs on a full indemnity basis), claims, damage and expenses whatsoever which DBS may incur/suffer (directly or indirectly) as a result of (i) a non-delivery, delayed delivery, or the misdirected delivery of an inControl alert; (ii) inaccurate or incomplete content in an inControl alert; (iii) your reliance on or use of the information provided in an inControl alert for any purpose; (iv) transactions controls; or (v) your use of and/or reliance on the Service.
DBS provides the Service as a convenience to you for information purposes only.
DBS may vary these Terms & Conditions or discontinue the Service at any time without notice or liability to any party.
A person who is not a party to these terms may not enforce any of them under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act (Chapter 53B) and notwithstanding any terms herein, the consent of any third party is not required for any variation of the terms of the Service (including any release or compromise of any liability) or termination of the Service.
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Singapore law and you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore Courts.
