Re: Here's how to avoid scams and fraud attempts
Hi all,
Looking for some help and suggestions on what else I can do.
I was subjected to a credit card scam. I have reported it to DBS, however I am still subjected to pay for the amount that I was scammed for.

Can I ask about Instant Multi Currency Account here?
I added a new account according to the guidance that popped-up on the screen of DBS digibank smartphone app.
I understand the account is for a multi-currency account.
But at this moment, I want to reconfirm what kind of account it is exactly.
(1)How much does it cost to keep the Multi Currency Account?
(2)How can I close this Multi Currency Account?
Best regards.0

S$1,000 digiPortfolio transaction to qualify for Invest category of Multiplier
I understand that DBS has recently included digiPortfolio investments for the Invest category of Multiplier. A minimum top-up of S$1,000 is required.
Can the top-up be spread over 2 portfolios?
I currently have an Asia and Global portfolio that I Dollar-Cost Average (DCA) S$500 and US$500 respectively every month.0

China’s tech sector impacted by recent regulatory tightening; big changes are expected
What are some implications of the Cyberspace Administration of China’s (CAC) action to set up a regulatory foundation on the world’s second largest economy as it continues with its digital transformation and technology reforms?
Mainland China’s New Economy, media, and education sectors have recently faced selling pressure. However, the silver lining from the policy stance in tightening the rules on China companies seeking listing in the ADR platform is that local firms are now encouraged to list closer to home, broadening the investment offerings in the onshore capital markets of Shanghai and Hong Kong. Read the full CIO Weekly report here.
Watch this 2-min short summary on the report.
vid pic.jpgTHE DBS CIO OFFICE ADVOCATES…
For investors stay the course as the CIO remains constructive on the tech sector of strategic importance such as upstream technology, green energy, e-Commerce, leading health care and software applications.
❓ What is an ADR? American Depositary Receipt (ADR) is a security created by a U.S. bank that evidences ownership to a specified number of shares of a foreign security held in a depository in the issuing company's country of domicile.

Once confident, aim to have Invested Assets to Net Worth ratio (Assets - Liabilities) of at least 50%. Sounds complicated? It doesn't have to be - get started with a Regular Savings Plan or explore DBS digiPortfolio.pexels-monstera-6289100.jpg

How do you control your urge to splurge?
I'm not sure if it's the WFH situation or what, but my impulse buying trend has gone up 😕, and this doesn't count the things we really need at home (groceries, replacing damaged item, etc). Any tips on how to stick to the budget and keep that impulse in control?
