Banker's Guarantee for NS Bond
Hello,
I have banker's guarantee in the form of a fixed deposit as a NS bond for my son. The fixed deposit expires in Jan 2022 which now needs to be renewed. The Central Manpower Base has prepared the required document but as I reside overseas, I cannot return to Singapore to handle the paperwork at a local branch, which was what I did before the Covid pandemic. Can I get a family member in Singapore to handle it for me?

Pay for my child's uni education or let them pay for themselves?
I'm torn between letting my child go to school without any financial worries and giving them an opportunity to learn some life lessons about money.
If I am not setting aside a % of my savings for this, more can be funneled into my retirement. Any advice would help!
