        10% if young & single I guess. Insurance seems to be needed more when starting a family.

                Agree with SuperMan, depends on requirements.
                The number of dependents and living standard doesn’t scale linearly with salary!

                      I don't use a fixed percentage figure, but instead insure based on what I need, and increase it as I enter a different stage of life, or have more dependents.
