Although ETFs have been around for decades, I feel like they've gotten more popular in the last few years, especially for beginners. I wouldn't say they're 'the best investment vehicle' overall since that varies from each person and their situation.

Precious metals, especially gold, are getting a lot of attention now too but that's to be expected when markets are not as stable.

We could likely give a good reason why certain investment vehicles are 'the best' depending on preference, situation, etc.
