Where to start investing for young adults? What asset classes for investment would you recommend for young adults new to the workplace and want to start investing but may not have a large pool of money to start with?

I consider myself a novice investor who has been investing in Sg listed equities and a bunch of bond funds, but like to share. First, depends on your objective. You want passive income or something you can cash out on in the distant future? If passive income, suggest unit trusts, followed by equities with sound fundamentals. For growth, you can consider the digiportfolio for starters, and later move on to certain blue chip equities.

Using DCA is probably the best? You can set aside just a small amount each month (e,g $200) and you don't need to time the market as well. Can look at Invest saver!

Start with a safer option first given that the funds available are low. Perhaps an ETF or bond to get your first feel of investing. However if a good opportunity in the stock market appears for a blue chip company (like DBS) it is worth investing despite the extra risk comparatively.
