The logo was modelled after the caissons of the DBS Building foundation and showcases the spark within the bank.

DBS logo was modelled after the caissons of the DBS Building foundation in 1972. It has also evolved through the years. I know about this because I was doing some information searching in DBS website just few days ago.

The original logo is based on what the foundations of DBS Tower 1 looked like.
