DBS is the Most Valuable Brand in Singapore

DBS has been named the most valuable brand in Singapore for the second consecutive year in Brand Finance’s annual “Top 100 Singapore Brands”. According to the report by Brand Finance, a London-based independent brand strategy and valuation consultancy, we have grown our brand value by USD 535 million to USD 4.01 billion, and contributed more than 30% of the total brand value increase of USD 1.708 billion across the top 100 Singapore brands in 2014. DBS Asian Gamechangers – Shaping the Asia of Tomorrow


More than 800 of our top Corporate & Wealth clients and journalists attended the annual DBS Asian Insights Conference 2014. To showcase DBS Asian Insights, this year’s conference brought together movers & shakers to discuss and share their insights on the gamechangers that could accelerate or derail Asia’s Growth. DBS PayLah!


DBS continues to shape the payment space in Singapore and launched mobile wallet DBS PayLah! in May this year. The wallet comes in the form of a mobile application (app), which allows DBS/POSB customers to send and receive funds instantly. As a mobile wallet with a higher daily limit of SGD 999, DBS PayLah! also allows for greater flexibility in payment usage. For instance, it can be used to pay the helper’s salary, give children pocket money and to pay for purchases with sole proprietorships such as blog shops or taxi rides. Making a difference in our community


Close to 1,000 DBS/POSB employees came together in a three-day series of volunteer events to reach out to 500 senior citizens, a segment of the community that has been our longest standing customers. On 29 & 30 July, DBS/POSB staff visited the homes of 300 seniors, who live alone, to personally deliver household necessities. On 31 July, we hosted another 200 elderly on an outing to the S.E.A. Aquarium at Resorts World Sentosa, followed by lunch. The corporate volunteerism program, named “People of Purpose”, is DBS’ way of giving back to the community, starting first with our Pioneer Generation.
