Frequently Asked Questions

Hospital Recovery Cash Plus is a hospital income plan designed to help ease your financial burden in the event of unforeseen accidents or sudden bouts of sicknesses, so that you can recuperate in peace.


Singapore Residents who are between the age of 18 and 65 years old (both ages inclusive) can apply for Hospital Recovery Cash Plus. The policy is renewable up to the age of 70 years old (age inclusive).

Dependent Child(ren) who are between the age of 1 and 17 years old (both ages inclusive) can also be covered under the policy. The age of the dependent child(ren) may be extended up to 25 years old, provided the child is primarily dependent on the applicant and is studying as a full-time student at an accredited institution of higher learning, on the commencement date of the insurance.

Singapore Resident means Singapore citizen, Singapore permanent resident, or holder of a valid work permit, employment pass, dependant's pass, long-term visit pass, S Pass or student pass issued by the authorities in Singapore.


Yes, you can still claim under this policy for all benefits except the Mobility Aid Benefit, subject to policy terms and conditions.


Post Covid-19 Vaccination Cover Bonus Add-on shall apply for 90 consecutive days from the date you receive each dose of vaccination (max 2 doses per insured person) in Singapore on or before 31 December 2021.


The premium is age-dependent and will increase as you grow older. Premiums shall be amended on the renewal of your policy at the renewal date, after the date you attain the age of 31, 41, 51, 61 and 66 years old.


The exclusions are stated under the General Exclusions section in the Policy Wording. Below are some key exclusions:

  • Pre-existing conditions
  • Deliberate and self-inflicted injury, suicide, criminal or illegal acts
  • Hazardous sports or activities involving parachuting, skydiving, hang gliding, ballooning, any kind of race (other than on foot or swimming) or trial of speed or reliability, potholing or mountaineering.

Coverage for an insured person will cease automatically:

  • when he ceases to be a Singapore Resident;
  • when he exceeds the maximum renewal age;
  • when the dependent child(ren) is employed, married, or reaches the age of 26 years old; or
  • upon his death

You have a free look period of 30 days from the date you receive the policy. If you decide to cancel the policy within these 30 days, please inform Chubb in writing and they will cancel the policy from its commencement date and refund the full premium paid, provided no claim has arisen from this policy.

How to Claim

Please submit your claims within 30 days from the date of the occurrence at Chubb Claim Centre or contact Chubb's Customer Service Hotline at 6398 8797 (Mondays to Fridays, 9.00am to 5.00pm, excluding Public Holidays).

 

In addition to completing the claim form, the following additional supporting documents may also be required based on the type of claim you are submitting:

Type of Documents required

  • Relevant Medical Report / Inpatient Discharge Summary
  • Copy of the Final Hospital Bill
  • Original invoice(s) and/or receipt(s) for mobility aid(s)
  • Death Certificate
  • Permit from NEA to cremate/burial
  • Any other documentary evidence required by Chubb under your Policy

A claim number will be provided immediately after you have submitted your claim online. You will receive an email acknowledgment and SMS notification when your claims submission is successful. A claim handler will then review your claim and contact you if additional information is required.

You will also receive a Token ID which can be used to check on your claim status. This ID will be provided either via an SMS to your mobile number or email address which would have been provided during the claim submission.

You can check your claim status via Chubb Claim Centre. Simply key in your claim number and Token ID to view your claim status and any payment amount/payee details, if available.

Should you have any query in relation to your claim, including claim status update, please contact Chubb at 6398 8797 (Mondays to Fridays, 9.00am – 5.00pm, excluding Public Holidays) and quote your policy and claim number.


Upon receiving your claim request and all the supporting documentations, the claim assessment will commence and will be finalised within 5 to 7 business days. Once your claim is accepted, you will be reimbursed via cheque or bank transfer within the next 5 to 7 business days.

Coverage for your policy is automatic and no further action is required from you.
