ABOUT YOURNAV COMMUNITY

 

What is YourNAV Community?

YourNAV is the community of NAV, an initiative by DBS and POSB aimed at empowering you to better navigate life’s changes, uncertainties and opportunities to get to where you want to be.

 

Why should I be a member of YourNAV Community?

If you’re new to financial planning, it’s the place where you can ask any burning questions you have. Follow YourNAV Squads to motivate each other towards financial goals, or look forward to events, classes and/or quizzes aimed to get you comfortable with the “whole money management thing”.

 

Already started on your financial planning journey? It doesn’t end there - get ideas on what others are doing and the considerations they had. Earn points and increase your ranking as you interact on the community – and yes, do stay tuned on what these points could be used for!

 

For those who are experienced, other community members would definitely benefit from your experience and views. Your helping hand does go a long way in terms of building relationships - the true spirit of a community! 

 

How does YourNAV Community work?

There are 5 sections in the community:

- Posts: Have a question but can’t seem to find the answer? Don’t be shy – simply post them here!

- Reads: Your financial planning journey does not have to be daunting. Start with some quick reads and pick up nuggets of knowledge while you’re on-the-go.

- Featured: From announcements to community events and must-knows, don’t miss out on the latest happenings on the community.

- Squad: Have a goal which you’re working towards? Follow and be part of a YourNAV Squad as you motivate each other.

- Leaderboard: You earn points as you interact with the community – and yes, those points do add up to something. Stay tuned for what they can be used for!

 

Is YourNAV free to join or is there a membership fee?

No, YourNAV is completely free to join – share the love and invite your friends along!

 

Do I have to be a DBS/POSB customer to sign up?

No, YourNAV Community is set up to empower individuals, including but not limited to DBS and POSB customers, with resources and financial know-how so they can better navigate their financial planning journey to achieve their goals.

 

PARTICIPATING IN YOURNAV COMMUNITY

 

How do I post on YourNAV?

To be able to post or interact with fellow community members and content posted on YourNAV Community, you will need to register as a member.

1. Click on “Sign In” at the top-right corner of the homepage.

2. Click on “Sign Up” on the dialog box that appears.

3. If you are signing up using your email account, enter all mandatory details such as First Name, Last Name, Email, Username and Password.

4. If you are signing up using your social media account, i.e. Facebook or Twitter, simply click on the respective icons.

5. Read the terms. If you agree to them, check the box beside “I agree to the Terms and Conditions”.

6. Click on “Sign Up”.

 

Are there any guidelines or things I should pay attention to?

It’s important for all viewers and members of YourNAV Community to come together and make this an authentic and safe place for obtaining accurate information, learning from each other and progressing together on their financial planning journey.

 

Be nice :), have respect for others and always follow the law. Spamming, attacking, smearing, or posting nude or inappropriate content are strictly prohibited. Read the full Community Guidelines here

 

What if I spot something I feel is inappropriate?

If you spot a post which you feel does not adhere to the guidelines of the community, flag it as inappropriate for further review. To do this, follow these steps:

1. Make sure you’re already signed in. If not, click on “Sign In” at the top-right corner of the homepage and sign in.

2. Open the post by clicking on it. The top of the post shows the name of the user who created the post.

3. Click on the three dots found at the right side of the username and select “Flag as Inappropriate”.

The same three dots are available at the right of every user who comments on the post. A comment can also be marked as inappropriate using the same process.

 

What is a Leaderboard and how do I access it?

Community members earn points for interacting in the community, and these points translate to badges which are awarded to members.

 

To access the Leaderboard if you are on a desktop, navigate to the right side of the homepage under the “Top Contributors” section and click on “View More”. If you are accessing on mobile, simply scroll to the bottom of the homepage.

 

Are the points on YourNAV Community the same as DBS/POSB reward points?

No, they are not. The points on YourNAV are awarded to members based on their interaction on the community and translates to badges, not reward points, loyalty dollars or other forms rewards by DBS/POSB.

 

However, stay tuned to find out what the points you’ve earned on YourNAV Community can be used for!

 

Why am I unable to post?

To minimise spam and other bot activity on the community, there is a minimum of 10 characters required before a post can be posted.

 

If your post has more than 10 characters, another reason could be it contains a word or phrase that does not adhere to YourNAV Community Guidelines.

 

Can I reach out to fellow members to share about a product or post a link that is related to product information or sales?

YourNAV Community is set up as a place for authentic conversations which allows all members to learn from each other as they progress on their financial planning journey. As such, no solicitation or other forms of sales-related activities are allowed, unless authorised by YourNAV Crew.

 

ABOUT YOUR ACCOUNT ON YOURNAV COMMUNITY

 

How do I sign up and create an account on YourNAV?

1. Click on “Sign In” at the top-right corner of the homepage.

2. Click on “Sign Up” on the dialog box that appears.

3. If you are signing up using your email account, enter all mandatory details such as First Name, Last Name, Email, Username and Password.

4. If you are signing up using your social media account, i.e. Facebook or Twitter, simply click on the respective icons.

5. Read the terms. If you agree to them, check the box beside “I agree to the Terms and Conditions”.

6. Click on “Sign Up”.

 

Am I able to use my DBS/POSB iBanking login to sign in to YourNAV Community?

For security reasons, your account in this community is different and separate from your DBS/POSB iBanking account. To create an account on YourNAV Community, simply follow the steps above.

 

If I use a different email to register for an account on YourNAV, does it change the email I registered with DBS/POSB?

As your account created in this community is different and separate from your DBS/POSB iBanking account, the email used in this community will not affect what you are using in iBanking, and vice versa.

 

Can I change my username?

Decided that the current username doesn’t quite suit you? Don’t fret – change it in a few clicks if it isn’t already taken. To do so, follow these steps:

1. Make sure you’re already signed in. If not, click on “Sign In” at the top-right corner of the homepage and sign in.

2. Click on your profile image on the top right-hand corner and click on “Profile Settings” from the drop-down menu.

3. Navigate to Username under Profile Information and make your desired change.

 

How do I change my profile image, email or other profile information?

Add that latest selfie to your profile in a few clicks.

1. Make sure you’re already signed in. If not, click on “Sign In” at the top-right corner of the homepage and sign in.

2. Click on your profile image on the top right-hand corner and click on “Profile Settings” from the drop-down menu.

3. Navigate to your profile image under Profile Information and click on “Update Profile Picture”.

4. Choose your desired image and click “Open”.

5. Click on “Save” to change and update your profile image.

 

What if I forgot my password or need to reset it?

It happens to most of us – days when you simply can’t seem to recall the correct password used! Here’s what you can do:

1. Make sure you’re already signed in. If not, click on “Sign In” at the top-right corner of the homepage and sign in.

2. Click on “Forgot Password”.

3. Enter the email address used for your account on YourNAV Community and click “Send Email”.

You should receive an email to reset your password. If you don’t see it after a few minutes, check the Junk folder of your mailbox. If it isn’t there, send us an email at yournav@dbs.com and we can assist you.

 

I’d like to terminate my account, how do I do so?

We’re sorry to see you go. If you really need to take a break, here’s how you can deactivate your account: To access the profile settings, follow these steps:

1. Make sure you’re already signed in. If not, click on “Sign In” at the top-right corner of the homepage and sign in.

2. Click on your profile image on the top right-hand corner and click on “Profile Settings” from the drop-down menu.

3. Select the second tab titled “Account Information”.

4. Click on “Deactivate” at the bottom of the page.

Please note that your account will be in the “Deactivated” status for 30 calendar days, following which all your data stored on the Community will be erased.

 

How do I contact the YourNAV Crew or administrators?

Either reply to the comment or post if it’s specific to a question or answer. Otherwise, send us an email at yournav@dbs.com.
