Receive complimentary travel insurance for both flights commencing in Singapore and overseas hotel bookings through DBS Travel & Leisure Marketplace, subject to 1 insurance coverage per customer, per period of booking.
From 19 March 2022, all new complimentary travel insurance policies issued will include COVID-19 coverage.

Coverage of the Complimentary Travel Insurance is as follows:

  • Accompanying travellers will be covered as part of the Complimentary Travel Insurance provided for flights originating from Singapore and overseas hotel bookings.
  • Only Singapore Residents are eligible for the Complimentary Travel Insurance. A Singapore Resident means a Singapore citizen, Singapore Permanent Resident, or foreigner holding a valid Work Permit, Employment Pass, Dependant’s Pass, Long-Term Visit Pass or Student Pass.
  • For comprehensive travel insurance with additional benefits (such as coverage for non-COVID-19 related overseas medical expenses due to accident or sickness and to enjoy higher coverage for the benefits above, you may wish to purchase TravellerShield Plus.

  • I just booked a flight / overseas accommodation via DBS Travel & Leisure Marketplace. How long does the complimentary travel insurance policy cover me?

    For flights booked via DBS Travel & Leisure Marketplace
    • If you are travelling on a return trip commencing and ending in Singapore, your coverage starts on the scheduled departure date and ends on the scheduled arrival date indicated on your flight itinerary. However, for COVID-19 Cover (Section 5), coverage is for up to 30 days starting from your scheduled departure date.
    • If you are travelling on a one-way trip, you enjoy up to 15 days of coverage on all benefits (Sections 1 to 5).
    For overseas hotels booked via DBS Travel & Leisure Marketplace
    • Your coverage starts on the check-in date and ends on the check-out date indicated in your hotel booking summary. However, for COVID-19 Cover (Section 5), coverage is for up to 30 days starting from your check-in date.
  • Does my policy cover me for COVID-19 related claims?

    Yes, the COVID-19 Cover is available for all policies issued on or after 19 March 2022. . It covers travel to all destinations*, except Cuba. View all COVID-19 benefits here.

    For policies issued on or before 18 March 2022, the COVID-19 Cover will not be applicable.

    *Please note that this is subject to change, depending on the development of the COVID-19 situation.

  • Does the COVID-19 Cover also include expenses related to COVID-19 diagnostic tests?

    No, any expenses related to COVID-19 diagnostic tests, including pre-departure tests and post-arrival tests, are not covered under this benefit.
