Group Head of Wealth Management

Ms Tan Su Shan joined DBS in June 2010 as Managing Director and Group Head of Wealth Management and added another hat in March 2013 when she was appointed Group Head for Consumer Banking. Most recently in October 2014, Su Shan became the first Singaporean to be recognised as the world’s “Best Leader in Private Banking” by PWM/The Banker, a leading wealth publication by the Financial Times Group. In June 2013, Su Shan was named “Outstanding Private Banker of the Year” by Private Banker International, marking it the first time an Asian has won this global award since its inception 20 years ago.

Prior to joining DBS, Su Shan was Morgan Stanley's Head of Private Wealth Management for Southeast Asia. Before re-joining Morgan Stanley in May 2008, she was Regional Head for Singapore, Malaysia and Brunei for Citi Private Bank. She was responsible for the private bank's overall business and sat on the board of directors for Citi Trust Singapore. Su Shan was also its Singapore Investment Centre Head. Read More

From 1997 to 2005, Su Shan was Executive Director with Morgan Stanley in Singapore, serving as investment adviser to high net worth families, corporates and institutions in the region.

Su Shan spent eight years in ING Baring Securities in institutional equity sales, working in the key financial hubs of London, Tokyo and Hong Kong before she joined Morgan Stanley the first time.

She is the founder and past president of the Financial Women's Association in Singapore, and a board member of Aetos Security Management, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Temasek Holdings. She also sits on the investment committee of MOHH Holdings. In addition, she is the current co-chairman of the Monetary Authority of Singapore’s Private Banking Advisory Group.

Married with two children, Su Shan is actively involved in fund-raising for various Singaporean charities and sits on the board of Singapore's KK Hospital Health Endowment Fund, which provides financial support to needy patients. She was a past board member of the National Museum and a member of the International Women's Foundation and the Young Presidents Organisation. She is an advisor to the prestigious Raffles Girls Primary School and SJI International School.

Su Shan has a Master of Arts from Oxford University, where she read Politics, Philosophy and Economics. In 2006, she was selected by Citi Private Bank to participate in the Senior Leadership Program at Harvard Business School. In May 2012, she was awarded the Distinguished Financial Industry Competent Professional (FICP) title, which is the highest certification mark for a financial practitioner in Singapore, by the Institute of Banking and Finance. Lim Say Boon is the Chief Investment Officer for DBS Private Bank.

In a career spanning 30 years, Say Boon has held senior positions in both banking/finance and the financial media internationally. Prior to joining DBS, Say Boon was the Chief Investment Strategist for Standard Chartered Bank, Group Wealth Management and Private Banking. He was also the Joint Head of Standard Chartered Bank's Investment and Advisory Office and Chairman of Standard Chartered Private Bank's Global Investment Council. Read More

Over the years, Say Boon has also worked as Director of Research for Standard Chartered Indonesia; Research Manager for Standard Chartered Securities Singapore; Regional Research Manager for Societe Generale-Crosby Securities; Head of Investment Research for the Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation (OCBC); Director, and Portfolio Counselling, for Citigroup Private Bank.

Say Boon has also held senior positions in the financial media in the 1980s when he was Finance Editor for The Herald-Sun and the Sunday Herald newspapers in Australia. The Herald-Sun was the largest circulation newspaper in Australia and is part of the News Corporation group. Less



Chief Operating Officer
Consumer Banking & Wealth Management Group

V Arivazhagan was appointed the Chief Operating Officer of the Consumer Banking & Wealth Management Group in August 2014. In this role, he will implement our key business and operational strategies, and work with internal and external partners to develop a leading, integrated client experience across the bank’s retail and wealth segments. He was previously Head of Regional Investment and Treasury Products for the Consumer Banking Group where his team worked with various counterparties to originate and market product solutions to the different consumer banking and private banking segments in line with their needs and risk profile. Prior to joining the Consumer Banking Group in 2009, Ari was the Investment Product Head for DBS Bank Ltd's Private Bank in Hong Kong. Ari began his career with DBS Bank Ltd in 1988, providing advice on Treasury and Markets solutions to corporations and financial institutions.

Jeremy Soo Hsiao Chin

Jeremy Soo joined DBS in 2003 and is currently the Managing Director and Head of DBS Consumer Banking Group in Singapore. Jeremy has direct responsibilities to grow the Singapore consumer banking franchise. He oversees the DBS, POSB, Treasures Priority Banking and business segments, including credit cards, investment, insurance and banking products.

Prior to his current position, Jeremy was the Head of Secured Loans, responsible for DBS Consumer Secured Loans with portfolio covering products relating to mortgages for residential & commercial properties, Auto Loans Financing, Secured Overdrafts and Share Margin Finance. Read More

Jeremy has 20 years of consumer banking and finance experience. Before DBS, he spent 18 years with Citibank Global Consumer Banking Group, Singapore. He was the key management staff primarily responsible for Consumer Lending. His last appointment was Vice President – Member of the Senior Management Group of Citibank Global Consumer Banking Group, Singapore.

A Singapore citizen, Jeremy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Management (Economics) from the University of London. Less

Derrick Goh

Derrick joined DBS Bank in September 2008 and is currently responsible for leading the bank's wealth management business across six key markets namely Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Indonesia and India overseeing DBS Treasures Private Client and DBS Treasures regionally.

Prior to this appointment, he was Managing Director (MD) and Head of Distribution/POSB where he led the growth of the people's bank, sharpening the customer-branch engagement through expanded product offerings and services as well as deepening POSB’s outreach to the community. Read More

Derrick also led other teams at DBS as MD and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Institutional Banking Group where he successfully established the COO office to provide strategic leadership in developing business analytics and processes to drive IBG's business performance. Before his COO role, he was at Finance Division where he held concurrent roles as CFO IBG, Private Bank and Head of Group Finance Planning & Analytics.

Prior to DBS, Derrick spent over 11 years at American Express where he held senior Finance roles as CFO of its Global Consumer Bank and Insurance business based in London and Head of Finance - Strategy and Planning for Amex's International business based in New York. He subsequently returned to Singapore as CFO ASEAN and South Asia for its Consumer cards business.

Derrick is a CPA and was a recipient of the American Express scholarship award where he received an MBA (Honors) from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He graduated in Accountancy (Honours) from Nanyang Technological University and holds a Masters in Applied Economics (Finance) from National University of Singapore.

Derrick currently serves the community as chair of the Board audit committee of the National Library and as District Counsellor/Vice Chair Finance of South West's Community Development Council. He is also a member of the Board of Governors, HomeTeamNS. He is married with three active kids. Less

Head of DBS Treasures Private Client, Singapore

Mr. Steven Ong started his banking career with Citibank in 1996, taking on a series of sales and product management roles in its Global Consumer Bank, Singapore. He first joined DBS in 2004 as a Business Director for DBS Treasures, covering Malaysia and Greater China.

Steven was awarded the DBS Chairman's Award for three consecutive years as the top Business Director in DBS Treasures. Read More

In early 2010, Steven left DBS to head Standard Chartered Bank’s Priority Banking (Offshore Unit). He returned to lead DBS Treasures Private Client at its launch in mid-2011. Steven graduated from Singapore’s Nanyang Technological University with a Bachelor of Business (Banking).

Marc Lansonneur joined DBS in October 2014. Based in Singapore, he is leading the Investment Products Team across Consumer Banking Group including Private Banking.

His team of specialists cover equity, fixed income, funds and foreign exchange products. Previously Marc was working for Societe Generale where he held various positions in Private Banking, Corporate and Investment Banking in Asia, Europe and America. He has more than 20 years of experience in the financial industry.

A French National, Marc holds a Master in Business Administration from E.S.S.E.C in Paris (France).


Executive Director
Head, Treasures Private Client Onshore (Singapore)

Mr. Marcus Teo joined DBS Bank in May 2013, and manages an ever-expanding TPC segment serving clients based in Singapore. After a short stint at Citi’s consumer banking division, Marcus moved to Standard Chartered Bank in 1997. At SCB, he assumed roles in Branch Banking, Wealth Management, International and SME Banking. At SCB, he won recognition for team performance and his Wealth Management team won a product innovation award. Read More

In 2006, Marcus joined ABN Amro as its Head of Sales for its International Wealth Management division managing both Relationship Managers and Business Development teams. In lieu of the strong growth of the business he led, he was nominated to work in the regional wealth team to implement productivity initiatives across Asia. When ABN was later immersed into Royal Bank of Scotland’s operations, some of these best practices were shared with other divisions in RBS, including Coutts in the UK.

Marcus joined HSBC in 2009 as Head of their Premier Offshore Banking Centre. He later assumed additional responsibilities in Branch Banking and Onshore Premier Banking. He left HSBC as the Head of its high net worth channel, with responsibility for setting up the top-tier segment within Premier Banking and also looked after the Wealth Advisory Specialist teams.

He holds a Masters of Science in Finance from City University of New York and a Bachelor’s degree in Management from the University of London. Marcus is married with three children and enjoys classical music. Less
