Terms and Conditions Governing DBS Treasures Member Get Member Programme


The DBS Treasures Member Get Member Programme ("Programme") is conducted by DBS Bank Ltd ("DBS") and is open to eligible, existing DBS Treasures customers (each, a "Referrer") as may be determined by DBS at its sole and absolute discretion.


This Programme is valid from 1 January 2019 to 31 December 2019 ("Promotion Period"). Only referrals received by DBS during this Promotion Period will qualify for the Programme.


The following persons are not eligible to participate and will be disqualified from participating in the Programme:

  1. Employees of DBS and its affiliates and their immediate families, the advertising agencies engaged by DBS and its affiliates, and any other parties which are directly involved in organising, promoting and/or conducting the Programme as determined by DBS;
  2. Self-referrals; and
  3. DBS Treasures customers that are non-individuals.


The Referrer will receive an appreciation reward ("Reward") if

  1. he/she refers a prospective customer (each, a “Referred Person”);
  2. the Referred Person establishes an account (“First Account”) with DBS Treasures;
  3. the assets deposited with and managed (“AUM”) in the First Account comply with the minimum AUM required under DBS Treasures (whichever is applicable), at the end of the third month from the date on which the First Account is established; and
  4. the First Account has not been closed or terminated as at the date that the Reward is credited to the Referrer.


Referrals where the Referrer becomes a joint account holder will not be eligible for the Reward.


Minimum AUM for DBS Treasures is not less than S$350,000 (or equivalent in foreign currency) in deposits and/or investments (for example, if the First Account is opened on 1 May 2019, the Referrer will qualify for the Reward if the AUM as at 31 July 2019 is not less than S$350,000).


The Reward is a one-time S$100 cash credit, which will be credited to any of the Referrer’s DBS/ POSB current account or savings account.


The Referrer will receive the Reward within five months from the month the First Account is opened.


The date that DBS receives the referral form must not be later than the date the First Account is opened.


Each Referrer:

  1. confirms that the Referred Person has consented to a DBS representative contacting him/her for the purposes of the Programme and/or the opening of the First Account;
  2. undertakes to comply with the provisions of the Personal Data Protection Act (Cap 26 of 2012) (“Act”);
  3. warrants that he/she has obtained consent under the Act from the Referred Person to the collection, use and disclosure of the Referred Person’s personal data by/to DBS and such other third party for the purpose of the Programme and/or the opening of the First Account;
  4. consents to DBS disclosing the Referrer’s name to the Referred Person for the purposes of the Programme and/or the opening of the First Account;
  5. confirms that he/she agrees (and procures that the Referred Person agrees) to be bound by the terms of the DBS Privacy Policy available at http://www.dbs.com/privacy; and
  6. confirms that he/she has informed the Referred Person that a Reward will be accorded to the Referrer if these terms and conditions are complied with.


Without prejudice to any other provisions herein, DBS shall not accord Reward(s) to the Referrer if:

  1. the assets deposited in the First Account are transferred from another DBS/POSB account (or from the liquidation of an investment held with DBS/POSB);
  2. Referred Person is an existing DBS Treasures, Treasures Private Client or DBS Private Bank customer (collectively a “DBS Wealth Management Customer”) or was a DBS Wealth Management Customer in the last six months from the date of the referral; or
  3. the Referred Person is an employee of DBS; or
  4. the Referrer is a Business Introducer under the Business Introducer Program.


If more than one Referrer successfully refers the same Referred Person to DBS within the Promotion Period, the Reward will be given to the first Referrer who submits the referral form to DBS with the name of the Referred Person and such form is received by DBS.


There is no limit to the number of referrals that can be made by the Referrer.


DBS may without prior notice substitute the Reward with any other reward of equal or higher value, such value to be determined by DBS. DBS makes no representation or warranty whatsoever as to the quality or fitness for purpose or any other implied terms or conditions with respect to the Reward. DBS is not liable for any injury, loss or damage whatsoever, whether direct or indirect, arising from or in connection with the Reward.


Referrer agrees to hold DBS and its directors, officers and employees (each an “Indemnified Party”) harmless and keep each Indemnified Party fully and effectively indemnified from and against any losses, costs, claims, damage and expenses whatsoever which any of them may incur (directly or indirectly) as a result of any breach by the Referrer of any of its representations, warranties, undertakings or obligations hereunder.


DBS’ decision on all matters relating to the Promotion shall be final. No correspondence or claims will be entertained.


DBS may vary these Terms and Conditions or suspend or terminate the Promotion without any notice or liability to any party.
