We hope that our small gesture of subsidising 5 Million Hawker Meals has provided you with some relief over the past year. In line with our commitment to helping our customers to reduce their rising expenses, we’re pleased to share that this initiative will be extended for another six months, until 26 July 2024.

Singapore, here’s a little something for all of you​

Prices have gone up and we know many of you have cut back on spending due to rising expenses. We believe that banking has a higher purpose to create a positive impact. So we are committed to helping you, our customers, reduce some of these pressures. We’re subsidising 5 million hawker meals over 12 months in an effort to ease the pinch for all of you.


Here’s how you can enjoy a subsidised meal every Friday

From 10 February 2023 to 26 July 2024, you can enjoy up to S$3 subsidy* on your hawker meal every Friday by being the first 100,000 users to scan to pay with DBS PayLah! at any of the SGQR-enabled hawker stalls islandwide.

There is no minimum spend to qualify for the subsidy. The subsidy amount will be credited to your PayLah! account on the same day.

*100% cashback (capped at S$3). Limited to 1 redemption per user every Friday starting at 6AM. Cashback will be updated to your PayLah! wallet on the same day. Terms and conditions apply.

Look out for the SGQR code with PayLah! logo OR PayLah! sticker at SGQR-enabled stalls across 160 hawker centres islandwide.
