Deliverable
  • One digital game
  • Core mechanic(s) must be obvious
  • At least one playable level
Rules
  • The theme will only be revealed on the first day of the event. No work should begin prior.
  • One team, one game; no more than that. You may have more than one prototype, but we will only accept one final submission.
  • The game must be digital. Teams can use any engine, any language and target any platform. Provide for the platform of choice on your own.
  • No outsourcing is allowed. Everything used in the game has to be developed by the team during the competition itself.
  • No religious content is allowed.
  • No illegal content is allowed.
  • No racism, hate speech or personal attacks.
  • No obscene or pornographic content is allowed.
  • No PowerPoint slides should be used for the final showcase. Go straight to the game demo. You only have 5 minutes.
  • If any of the rules is broken, the whole team will be disqualified.
  • Participants will retain their intellectual property rights in the Entry they create. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Participants agree that DBS shall have the right to choose any Entry or Entries submitted in this Competition to be uploaded on a public website without requiring further compensation, and Participants agree to grant DBS a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to upload their Entry onto a public website. The Participants further acknowledge that given the nature of the Competition, any ideas or concepts relating to the Entry shared during the Competition will not be treated as confidential or proprietary to any Participant and may be used by others after the Competition.
