1. What is DBS Give for Good?

DBS Give for Good is a social crowdfunding online platform for DBS customers. The platform connects clients to a list of bite-sized programmes and charity causes specially curated by selected national agencies in Singapore. Clients can either donate or volunteer their time for these programmes.

2. Are there any fees involved?

100% of your donation will go towards the charity organisation.

3. Tax Deduction
  1. How do I know if my donation is tax deductible?
    Donations made to the programmes listed on Give for Good will be entitled to 2.5 times tax deduction and are applicable to both corporate and individual tax residents. More information can be found here.

    DBS will send your name, NRIC, mailing address and donation amount to South West Community Development Council. Your tax deduction will be automatically filed to Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) by South West CDC and will be reflected in your individual tax assessment in the next calendar year. There is no further action required on your end.

    If the information required for tax deduction is incomplete, South West CDC will contact you for more information via mail.
4. Would DBS share my personal information with the charity organisations?

If you have made a donation, your name, NRIC, mailing address and donation amount will be sent by DBS to South West Community Development Council for the purpose of tax filing. For donations S$50 and above, South West will also mail you a tax receipt.

1. How can I donate?

Thank you for supporting Give For Good. Fundraising for the programmes has ended on 31 March 2019.

2. How do I know that my past donation has been made successfully?

Your donation will be reflected in your banking transaction history on digibank or iWealth.

For donations S$50 and above, you will also receive a tax receipt issued by South West CDC in the following month. The receipt is for your record only and there is no further action required on your end.

All donations, regardless of amount, are eligible for tax deduction. Your tax deduction will be automatically filed to Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) by South West CDC and will be reflected in your individual tax assessment in the next calendar year.
