¹ The monthly income will be accumulated with Manulife at the prevailing interest rate, currently at 3.00% p.a.. The interest rate is non-guaranteed. We may change it by giving you 30 days’ notice. You may choose to fully or partially withdraw the accumulated monthly income which has been built up with us, with interest, at any time (the minimum amount for each withdrawal will be S$500).

² Transfer of policy ownership via assignment is allowed anytime while the policy is in force. The assignee must be at least 18 years old.

³ Lifetime monthly income consists of guaranteed and non-guaranteed monthly income. Guaranteed monthly income is equal to 0.81% of the sum insured divided by 12. Based on illustrated investment rate of return of 4.25% p.a., non-guaranteed monthly
income is equal to 2.49% of the sum insured divided by 12 and based on illustrated investment rate of return of 3.00% p.a., non-guaranteed monthly income is equal to 1.20% of the sum insured divided by 12.

⁴ If the life insured is alive on the policy anniversary immediately after the life insured’s 120th birthday (maturity date) and the policy is still in force, you will receive the sum of the following, after taking off any amount you owe us:
(i) the guaranteed surrender value as at maturity date;
(ii) the non-guaranteed maturity bonus (if any); and
(iii) any accumulated monthly income which has built up with interest.

Upon payment of the maturity benefit, this policy will end.

⁵ Capital guaranteed from end of policy year 3 onwards. Only applicable for policies with annual premium payments. The guaranteed surrender value aﬅer the end of policy year 3 is at least 100% of the sum insured. Not applicable for policies which have been revised.

⁶ Aﬅer 2 policy years, the policy owner may request to change the life insured up to 2 times during the policy term. The maturity and benefit end dates of the basic plan remains unchanged (and follows the original life insured's 120th birthday). Subject to
insurable interest and any other terms and conditions as set out in the policy contract.

⁷ If the life insured dies while the policy is still in force, Manulife will pay the following death benefit in one lump sum aﬅer taking off any amount you owe us:
(a) the higher of:
(i) 101% of the total premiums paid to date (excluding any advance premium paid); or
(ii) the guaranteed surrender value;
(b) the non-guaranteed claim bonus (if any); and
(c) any accumulated monthly income (together with built up interest)

⁸ In the event of terminal illness during policy term, the death benefit will be advanced in a lump sum. We will not pay the terminal illness benefits if the terminal illness is caused by human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection.

⁹ In the event the life insured is diagnosed with terminal cancer and has survived for a
period of 7 days from the date of diagnosis, we will pay you 20% of the annual mode premium after taking off any amount you owe us, subject to 1-year waiting period commencing from the policy issue date, the most recent date Manulife approved the change of life insured or date of the most recent policy reinstatement (whichever is later).

This benefit is applicable while the policy is still in force, provided that the date of diagnosis of the terminal cancer is before:
(i) the benefit end date of the terminal cancer benefit; and
(ii) the policy anniversary immediately after the life insured’s 75th birthday.

¹⁰ This benefit is applicable while the policy is still in force during the premium payment term, provided that the total and permanent disability occurs before:
(i) the benefit end date of this waiver of premium on total and permanent disability benefit; and
(ii) the policy anniversary immediately after the life insured’s 70th birthday.
