Prime Protect is a personal accident plan that covers clients aged between 40 and 70 years old (both ages inclusive) against unexpected situations.

Prime Protect is underwritten by Chubb Insurance Singapore Limited.

  • Accidental Medical Expenses Reimbursement
    (Including Traditional Chinese Medicine Treatments)
    Reimbursement of medical expenses, up to S$2,000 per Accidental Injury.
  • Fractures, Dislocations & Burns Benefit
    Receive a lump sum payout up to S$20,000 if you suffer a fracture, dislocate a joint or suffer burns due to an Accidental Injury.
  • Daily Hospital Cash Benefit
    Receive up to 60 days of Daily Hospital Cash Benefit if you are hospitalised following an Accidental Injury.
  • Long Term Care Benefit
    Receive a lump sum payout of up to S$20,000 in the event you are unable to perform 3 or more Activities of Daily Living (ADL) following an Accidental Injury.
  • No Claim Bonus
    Receive 15% refund of premiums paid (excluding GST) at the end of every 12 consecutive months if you remain claim-free.

  1. Who can apply for this Policy

    This Policy is designed exclusively for customers who are Singapore Residents aged between 40 and 70 years old (both ages inclusive). The Policy is renewable up to age 80 years old (age inclusive).

    Singapore Resident means Singapore Citizen, Singapore Permanent Resident, or Holder of a valid Work Permit/Employment Pass/Long Term Visit Pass/Dependant's Pass/S Pass issued by the authorities in Singapore.

  2. Is this a monthly or annual policy?

    The Policy’s period of insurance is 1 month if you are paying a monthly premium, and 1 year if you are paying an annual premium. The policy will be automatically renewed upon payment of the monthly/annual premium every month/year.

  3. Will the premium increase as I grow older?

    The premium is not age-dependent and does not increase as you grow older.

  4. Does this Policy cover me for illnesses?

    No, this is a Personal Accident policy that covers you for Accidental Injury.

    Accidental Injury means a bodily injury resulting from an accident caused by a sudden, unforeseen and fortuitous event.

  5. How is the 15% No Claim Bonus calculated?

    At the end of every 12 consecutive months, you will receive a refund of 15% of the preceding 12 months’ premium (without interest and any statutory tax) if no claims for an event that occurred in that period are made.

  6. Are there occupations that are not covered by this Policy?

    This Policy provides coverage for the following occupations only while the Insured Person is off-duty at the time of Accidental Injury:

    • Armed and discipline forces including but not limited to the military, navy, air force, policemen, auxiliary police officers, customs officers, firemen, immigration officers or inspectors, and correctional service officers or inspectors
    • Professional sportsperson including motor sportsperson
    • Personnel working on board an aircraft

  7. Are there any other situations where benefits will not be payable?

    These are stated under the General Exclusions section in the Policy. Below are some key exclusions:

    • Pre-existing conditions
    • Deliberate and self-inflicted injury, suicide or, criminal or illegal act
    • Unlawful acts or wilful exposure to unnecessary danger (such as jaywalking or speeding) except in an attempt to save human life
    • Injury caused by the Insured Person while under the influence of alcohol or any drugs
    • Air travel except as a passenger in a fully licensed passenger carrying aircraft
    • Hazardous sports or activities involving parachuting, skydiving, hang gliding, ballooning, any kind of race (other than on foot or swimming) or trial of speed or reliability, potholing, mountaineering or rock climbing, or scuba diving.

  8. How do I cancel the Policy?

    You may cancel the Policy by giving Chubb 1-month prior notice. Please contact Chubb’s Customer Service Hotline for assistance.

  9. What circumstances will trigger the Policy to be terminated?

    The Policy will terminate:

    • Upon the date when the Accidental Death Benefit has been paid
    • Upon the date when 100% of the Accidental Permanent Disability Benefit has been paid
    • When the Insured Person is no longer a Singapore Resident
    • When the Insured Person reaches the age of eighty-one (81) years old
    • Upon the death of the Insured Person
  10. Does this Policy have any cash or surrender value?

    No, this Policy has no cash or surrender value.

  11. How do I make a claim?
