“Infiniment”! Get used to this French word, which simply means infinitely…
Resorts World Sentosa’s new lifestyle enclave Weave, ‘sweetened up’ with the opening of Pierre Hermé Paris in Singapore on 1 August 2025. The two-storey boutique with protruding giant macarons on its facade is stealing the limelight along the promenade and becoming the most photographed backdrop other than the Universal Studios globe!
Pierre Hermé Paris flagship at Resorts World Sentosa
The opening of Pierre Hermé Paris in Singapore impresses with many firsts. Take a deep breath: it is Pierre Hermé Paris’s debut in South-east Asia. The lovely space is the largest flagship in the world, it houses the first Pierre Hermé ice cream and sorbet bar, and the only outlet in the world to offer bubble tea. Fancy an Ispahan bubble tea? That’s not all. How about wrapping your gifts at the first-ever Pierre Hermé Furoshiki stand?
As part of The Culinaire’s List by DBS to provide access to special gourmet experiences, DBS Insignia Cardmembers and their guests were hosted to an exclusive preview of Pierre Hermé Paris in Singapore on 31 July, before it opened to the public. This special access was curated by Stellaire, whose team brought together Pierre Hermé and DBS to create a one-of-a-kind evening and I had the honour of being the emcee for this evening (and even learnt some French words too!)

DBS Insignia Cardmembers met Monsieur Pierre Hermé, listened to his stories firsthand and were given a tour of the gorgeous space by the man himself. Of course, there were tastings and plenty of shopping, how could one resist?
That macaron section of the counter is a spectacle. The captivating hues, the perfectly shaped shells with iconic feet, made and imported from France, and the Pierre Hermé-unique fillings, you want them all. Test your resolve further with immaculate looking pastries at the pastry section. Try the Singapore-exclusive ‘Trick the Eye’, an ode to illusion, and you might appreciate peanut butter differently after that.
Pierre Hermé’s iconic macarons, crafted in France, perfected in every bite
To cap the evening, DBS Insignia Cardmembers were hosted to an exclusive 5-course dinner at La Table, a full-service restaurant by Pierre Hermé located on the second floor of the boutique. Every course was delish, from the Ispahan sea bream ceviche to the classic Angus steak, complete with wine pairing. The loudest cheers, however, were reserved for the Sorbet Liqueur de Noix topped with oscietre caviar. The brine of the caviar mixed with chilled, nutty-flavoured sorbet and a hit of alcohol drew smiles from our discerning diners. The sorbet was off-menu, created only for special guests of Pierre Hermé Paris.

Monsieur Hermé was the perfect host who continued conversations with DBS Insignia Cardmembers at La Table. It was a real treat for many to get up close and personal with the world-renowned pastry chef.
The question many asked was: “What other uniquely Singaporean flavours might Monsieur Hermé add to the Singapore boutique”. Monsieur Hermé was tight-lipped but hinted that he enjoyed the taste of kaya during this visit. Who knows, we might just see a kaya macaron or pastry, maybe even a special ice cream. He is a pastry wizard after all.

It looked like the DBS Insignia Cardmembers enjoyed the exclusivity. Many had purchased the macarons and pastries, leaving the boutique with much emptier sections when it closed.
“Infiniment Caramel, Infiniment Praline Pistache, Infiniment Fruit de La Passion, Veloute Infiniment Fraise, Infiniment Vanille de Madagascar” - hope everyone had fun choosing your Pierre Hermé macarons?
