Setting up IDEAL access for the first time

Please ensure that you have already applied to use DBS IDEAL. Please refer to the email sent from [email protected] which contains the details that you can use to set up your IDEAL account.
When using online banking, all authentication processes require a mobile device, which acts as a digital token.
You will require a mobile device (mobile phone or tablet) to verify your logins and approvals.
Download the DBS IDEAL mobile app on the mobile device.

If you are setting up an IDEAL account using an email address that is already used for another account. | |
You will receive an email sent from [email protected] and its subject is ‘Welcome to DBS IDEAL’. It contains a One-Time Registration Code (OTRC) and setup instructions. The code is valid for 30 days, so please set up your account as soon as possible.

After your digital token is set up on a device, there will be a 12-hour period when high-risk transactions cannot be done.
These include:
- Add or edit a payee
- Change contact information
If your account is compromised, this period can help you detect unusual activities on your account in time.
