Setting up IDEAL access for the first time

Before setting up

You need to have applied for an online banking account to use DBS IDEAL, and received an email containing your first-time login details.

The email is sent from [email protected] and its subject is ‘Welcome to DBS IDEAL’. It contains a One-Time Registration Code (OTRC) and setup instructions. 

The code is valid for 30 days, so please set up your account as soon as possible.

Setting up

When using online banking, all authentication processes require a mobile device, which acts as a digital token.

You will require a mobile device (mobile phone or tablet) to verify your logins and approvals. 

Download the DBS IDEAL mobile app on the mobile device.

If you are setting up an IDEAL account for the first time using this email address

 

  1. Open the DBS IDEAL mobile app and select Log in to DBS IDEAL.
     
  2. Enter your registered email address, then select Log in with email.
     
  3. Enter the 6-digit One-Time Password (OTP) sent to your registered email address.
     
  4. Enter your registered mobile number and the 6-digit One-Time Password (OTP) sent to it.
     
  5. Set a login password.
     
  6. Set a 6-digit Digital Token PIN. When approving transactions in future, you will be asked to enter the PIN for greater security.

    We highly recommend you set up biometric authentication on your device for greater security and ease of use. 
If you are setting up an IDEAL account using an email address that is already used for another account.

  1. Open the DBS IDEAL mobile app. 
     
  2. Select Log in to DBS IDEAL, then Log in with organization ID.
     
  3. Enter your Organisation ID, User ID and One-Time Registration Code (OTRC) in the PDF file attached in the email, eWelcome Letter. 
     
  4. Enter the 6-digit One Time Password (OTP) sent to your registered email address. 
     
  5. Enter your registered mobile number and the 6-digit One Time Password (OTP) sent to it.
     
  6. Set a login password.
     
  7. Set a 6-digit Digital Token PIN. When approving transactions in future, you will be asked to enter the PIN for greater security.
