Scam education in the community
Anti-scam education is built into many of our community touchpoints – from pop-up events to sessions held in our branches – reaching people where they live and gather. In 2023, we launched our POSB Your Neighbourhood Getai series, where scam prevention tips are woven into lively Getai shows, making it easy for active agers and heartland residents to learn about scams. Together with IMDA, we also regularly run digital literacy and anti-scam workshops in neighbourhoods across Singapore.

Set transaction limits and alerts
Visit 'Security Checkup' to set your transaction and payment limits – so even if someone steals your login details, they can't move large sums. Remember to also update your contact details and switch on banking alerts so you can be notified of any suspicious activity.

Spotting a scam early makes all the difference. Log into digibank to regularly review your bank account and card statements. If something doesn't look right, report it to us immediately via our Fraud Hotline at 1800 339 6963.
Protect your card(s) with Payment Controls
Take charge of how your cards are used. With Payment Controls, you can enable or disable e-commerce, contactless, overseas and other key transaction types – so you stay in control of every transaction.

Lock your money with digiVault
Add an extra layer of protection to your savings. With digiVault, you can lock a selected portion of your funds so they cannot be digitally transferred out – even if scammers trick you into sharing your details. Only you can unlock the funds by visiting a DBS/POSB branch or ATM, keeping your savings untouchable by anyone but yourself.

Made up of fraud prevention specialists trained to spot the early signs of scam activity, this dedicated unit reviews high-risk transactions flagged by our fraud monitoring systems and works to protect customers from scams.
Our branch and customer service teams undergo regular training to recognise warning signs of scams. They watch for common red flags and if something seems off, they’ll pause the transaction and ask clarifying questions —helping to protect your money before any funds leave your account.
Our advanced surveillance systems run round-the-clock to detect unusual activity. If something suspicious is flagged, we’ll contact you and may temporarily block transactions to keep your funds safe.

Call the DBS Fraud Hotline to activate Safety Switch. This instantly disables your digibank Online and Mobile access, DBS PayLah! and all cards, blocking all digital transactions – including local and overseas transfers – until you decide to lift the lock. It’s the fastest way to freeze activity if you think your account details have been compromised.
Download the official ScamShield app to block scam calls and SMSes, as well as report scam calls. It also filters calls based on a list maintained by the Singapore Police Force.
