NETSPay is a mobile application which allows you to register your POSB/DBS ATM Card digitally. Once you’ve digitised your cards, leave your wallet at home and start paying with your mobile phone. Simply tap on a contactless terminal or scan a QR code, it’s simply the smarter way to pay.
How it works
Paying is simple and secure
Contactless NFC payment – works with Android phones with NFC enabled
- You will be able to make a payment when your phone is unlocked. There is no need to launch the NETSPay app when NETSPay is selected as the default payment mode
- For transactions above $100, you will be required to enter your PIN through the NETS Point-of-Sale terminal
QR Code payment - Works with iOS phones and Android phones
- Launch the NETSPay app to scan QR code, either on screen or on the printed receipt
- For transactions above $100, you will be required to enter your PIN through the app
Where to use
Fast and secure payments
Pay at all your favourite stores with POSB/DBS ATM Card2 securely using the NETSPay app. From hawker centres, neighbourhood shops to shopping malls – just look out for one of the following icons at the cashier.
2 Only DBS/POSB Personal Credit and Debit Cards are eligible. Business, Corporate and Purchasing Cards issued by DBS are not enabled.

Where can I download the NETSPay app?
You can download the NETSPay app from App Store or Google Play from 20th Oct 2017.
How do I add my first bank card into NETSPay?
You will be able to add your first bank card through these simple steps:
1. Launch NETSPay app
2. Follow the onscreen instructions to register with NETSPay

How can I add more cards into NETSPay?
You can start adding your bank card by clicking on the “+” sign found on the top right corner of the main screen.
What are the types of DBS/POSB Cards that I can use for NETSPay?
ATM, debit and credit cards (Mastercard, Visa, AMEX) with a Current Account, Savings Account or Cashline Account (CASA) linked as primary account are allowed.
I am a foreigner. Can I register for NETSPay as well?
Yes, you can register as long as you have a DBS/POSB card with a CASA account tagged.
What is the maximum number of cards I register on NETSPay?
You can register up to 10 cards on NETSPay.
What is the minimum android and iOS requirements for NETSPay?
Minimum requirement to support NETSPay is iOS 9 and Android 5 versions.
Which phones can/cannot be supported?
For Android, models with Android 5 and above can be supported.
For iOS, iPhone 5S and newer models can be supported.
For iOS, iPhone 5S and newer models can be supported.
Can NETSPay be used if phone does not have a screen lock?
No, you will be prompted to at least enable one authentication to be able to use the app.
How would the authentication be different if user phone is not using fingerprint lock i.e. pattern, number or facial recognition lock?
There is no difference in the type of authentication used.
Why am I not able to register my card for NETSPay?
There could be a variety of reasons for not being able to register a card on NETSPay and the error message will be indicated on screen during the set up.
I have recently requested for a card replacement due to fraud / lost, do I have to re-register the card in NETSPay? (Different card number replacement)
Yes, you are advised to delete your old card and re-register the new card on NETSPay.
I received a renewal card from your bank recently, do I need to re-register the card in NETSPay? (Same card number replacement)
Yes, you are required delete your old card and re-register the new card on NETSPay.
Paying with NETSPay
Which is my default card for payment?
The first card you load will automatically become your default card.
Can I change my default card for payment?
Yes, you can by following these few steps:
- Tap and hold the card you wish to set as default
- Tap on the menu icon found at the top right-hand corner
- Select “Set as Default Card”
How to delete my card on NETSPay?
- Go to your NETSPay App
- Tap and hold on card you wish to remove
- Tap on the menu icon found at the top right corner
- Select “Delete Card”
- To confirm, tap “YES” to delete card
Why am I not able to use NETSPay at merchant?
There could be a variety of reasons for not being able to use NETSPay at merchant and the error message will be indicated on screen.
Which are the merchants that accept NETSPay?
There are over 30,000 locations that accept NETSPay and there will be displays at the cashier or shop to indicate that NETSPay is accepted.
Can I use NETSPay overseas?
This feature is currently unavailable.
Do I need to have an active internet connection for NETSPay to work?
An internet connection is required to use NETSPay.
Can I use my Apple Watch/Samsung Gear to make the payment?
No, NETSPay is not supported on smartwatches currently.
How secure is a NETSPay transaction?
It is secure as card details are never shared with the merchants and full credit card information are not stored on their devices.
Will my personal / payment information be stored on the server or my device?
To deliver the best NETSPay experience, certain information will be displayed on your device, such as data of your recent purchases, but not your full account information.
What should I do if I lose / misplace my mobile device?
You may contact your card issuer (bank) to request for the service to be suspended on the registered card. Note that issuing bank can only suspend the service tied to the registered card in their bank. If you have registered cards with multiple banks for NETSPay, you will need to contact the respective banks for suspension. Alternatively, you may request for your ATM/ debit/ credit card to be blocked.
What’s the maximum amount I can transact when making payment with NETSPay?
The maximum amount you can transact is based on your card’s daily spending limit.
How can I keep track of the purchases made with NETSPay?
You can track your purchases from your transaction history in the NETSPay app.
What is the difference between NETSPay and Apple/Android/Samsung Pay?
NETSPay is a mobile wallet created by NETS which can be used to digitise your Current Account or Savings Account-linked bank cards whereas Apple/Android/Samsung Pay can digitise only VISA/Mastercard credit and debit cards.
