NETSPay is a mobile application which allows you to register your POSB/DBS ATM Card digitally. Once you’ve digitised your cards, leave your wallet at home and start paying with your mobile phone. Simply tap on a contactless terminal or scan a QR code, it’s simply the smarter way to pay.

 

How it works

Paying is simple and secure

Contactless NFC payment – works with Android phones with NFC enabled

  • You will be able to make a payment when your phone is unlocked. There is no need to launch the NETSPay app when NETSPay is selected as the default payment mode
  • For transactions above $100, you will be required to enter your PIN through the NETS Point-of-Sale terminal

  • Launch the NETSPay app to scan QR code, either on screen or on the printed receipt
  • For transactions above $100, you will be required to enter your PIN through the app

Where to use

Fast and secure payments

Pay at all your favourite stores with POSB/DBS ATM Card2 securely using the NETSPay app. From hawker centres, neighbourhood shops to shopping malls – just look out for one of the following icons at the cashier.

2 Only DBS/POSB Personal Credit and Debit Cards are eligible. Business, Corporate and Purchasing Cards issued by DBS are not enabled.

Getting started with NETSPay

You can download the NETSPay app from App Store or Google Play from 20th Oct 2017.

You will be able to add your first bank card through these simple steps:
1. Launch NETSPay app
2. Follow the onscreen instructions to register with NETSPay
3. Follow the onscreen instructions to add bank card

You can start adding your bank card by clicking on the “+” sign found on the top right corner of the main screen.

ATM, debit and credit cards (Mastercard, Visa, AMEX) with a Current Account, Savings Account or Cashline Account (CASA) linked as primary account are allowed.

Yes, you can register as long as you have a DBS/POSB card with a CASA account tagged.

You can register up to 10 cards on NETSPay.

Minimum requirement to support NETSPay is iOS 9 and Android 5 versions.

For Android, models with Android 5 and above can be supported.
For iOS, iPhone 5S and newer models can be supported.

No, you will be prompted to at least enable one authentication to be able to use the app.


There could be a variety of reasons for not being able to register a card on NETSPay and the error message will be indicated on screen during the set up.


Yes, you are required delete your old card and re-register the new card on NETSPay.

Paying with NETSPay

The first card you load will automatically become your default card.

Yes, you can by following these few steps:
  • Tap and hold the card you wish to set as default
  • Tap on the menu icon found at the top right-hand corner
  • Select “Set as Default Card”


  • Go to your NETSPay App
  • Tap and hold on card you wish to remove
  • Tap on the menu icon found at the top right corner
  • Select “Delete Card”
  • To confirm, tap “YES” to delete card

There could be a variety of reasons for not being able to use NETSPay at merchant and the error message will be indicated on screen.

There are over 30,000 locations that accept NETSPay and there will be displays at the cashier or shop to indicate that NETSPay is accepted.

This feature is currently unavailable.

An internet connection is required to use NETSPay.

No, NETSPay is not supported on smartwatches currently.

It is secure as card details are never shared with the merchants and full credit card information are not stored on their devices.

To deliver the best NETSPay experience, certain information will be displayed on your device, such as data of your recent purchases, but not your full account information.

You may contact your card issuer (bank) to request for the service to be suspended on the registered card. Note that issuing bank can only suspend the service tied to the registered card in their bank. If you have registered cards with multiple banks for NETSPay, you will need to contact the respective banks for suspension. Alternatively, you may request for your ATM/ debit/ credit card to be blocked.

The maximum amount you can transact is based on your card’s daily spending limit.

You can track your purchases from your transaction history in the NETSPay app.

NETSPay is a mobile wallet created by NETS which can be used to digitise your Current Account or Savings Account-linked bank cards whereas Apple/Android/Samsung Pay can digitise only VISA/Mastercard credit and debit cards.

NETSPay allows for QR Code payment which is currently unavailable in Apple/Android/Samsung Pay.
