Things are about to change because the ultimate everyday app—PayLah!—is now on Telegram. The PayLah! bot makes sending and requesting money easier than finding the perfect reaction GIF. Just summon the bot and let it take care of business right in your Telegram chat.

Here’s how it works
Sending Money
- Type @PayLahBot<space>, within your chat session, Enter <Amount in SGD> and tap "Send"
- Click ‘Confirm’ and open the link.
- Log in using your PayLah! PIN, Fingerprint or FaceID.
- Select recipient(s) and review amount before confirming payment.
- Done! You will receive a confirmation text in your Telegram chat.
Requesting Money
- Type @PayLahBot<space> within your chat session, Enter <Amount in SGD> and tap "Request"
- Your friend clicks ‘Send’ and logs in to their PayLah! wallet.
- After your friend confirms payment, both of you will receive a confirmation text in your Telegram chat.

To start sending or requesting funds, simply download the DBS PayLah! app for Google Play Store, Apple App Store or Huawei AppGallery onto your phone. Once your wallet has been created, you can start transferring money with friends on Telegram plus enjoy exclusive rewards and benefits offered by DBS PayLah!

Does my recipient need to have a PayLah! wallet?
No, your recipient does not need to have a PayLah! wallet. You can still send funds via PayLah! to him/her, provided he/she has a registered PayNow number. However, you will not be able to send money to recipients without a PayLah! or PayNow account.
Is there any time limit to complete the transaction?
Yes. For request money, you and your friend have 48 hours to complete the transaction. In the event the request expires after 48 hours, you may re-initiate again. No funds will be deducted until the sender accepts the request.
How do I know that my Telegram transaction is successful? Where do I view my transactions using @PayLah!bot on Telegram?
When a transaction (send or request) is completed, you will receive a notification within Telegram chat window. If you have sent funds, you will also receive an email confirmation. You can also find your past transactions within PayLah!’s transaction history.
During the send money process, I tapped on ‘Confirm’, a link was generated, followed by a prompt ‘Payment link has expired’ (Android error)/ ‘The payment link does not exist’ (iOS error). Help!
The link send/ request money link may have expired, or your PayLah! app may not be updated to the latest version. Please try again after you have downloaded the latest PayLah! from Google Play Store, Apple App Store or Huawei AppGallery.
Is Telegram PayLah Bot safe?
Yes, your security is our highest priority. The Telegram PayLah Bot is developed and maintained by DBS Bank, so all transactions are encrypted and completed in a secure environment. Each outgoing transfer must be authenticated based on existing PayLah! security protocols before funds are deducted from your wallet (as per MAS e-payment guidelines). During the entire process, Telegram will also not have any access to your bank account information.
I received a message from PayLah Bot or DBS-related Telegram account, requesting me to share my PIN, password or OTP via chat. What should I do?
Please do not respond to the chat and call us immediately (1800 111 1111). DBS will never request for your PIN, password or OTP through instant messaging platforms, phone call, email or SMS. I’m not a Telegram user. Can I use this feature on WhatsApp / Facebook / WeChat?
