General Enquiries

What is new on DBS Lifestyle app?
The new improved app integrates several key features to provide you with a seamless and hassle-free mobile banking and lifestyle experience. It rewards you instantly and also provides services at your fingertips.

DBS Lifestyle app comes with these exciting features:

  • InstaRewards: Use your DBS Points and POSB Daily$ for instant savings anytime, anywhere.
  • Deals For you: Choose your preferred categories and we’ll find the deals you like, wherever you are.
  • Personal Finance Manager: Get a breakdown of your expenses at a glance and manage your spending easily.
  • Auto-Activation For Overseas Use: Set up this feature once and be assured that your cards’ magnetic stripe will be automatically activated when you travel, and deactivated when you are home.
  • Promotion Tracker*: Join promotions curated for you, track your progress and be rewarded.
  • Play & Win*: Spend, play and win prizes. Be rewarded just for having fun!


    *This feature is available on seasonal basis and each promotion is specifically tailored to every customer based on a number of criteria.

  • I didn’t have to log in in the previous version of the app. Why do I need to log in now?

    DBS Lifestyle app offers new personalized services such as a Personal Finance Manager and InstaRewards that require authentication of the user. Hence, login is required to access these services.

  • What is my login ID and password?

    You can login with your existing DBS/POSB digibank User ID and the 6 to 9 digit Secure PIN.

  • I don’t have a IB/MB login ID; how can I sign up?

    You can click on the Sign Up button on the login screen. You will then be redirected to the digibank app to create a User ID and PIN.

  • What do I do if I forgot my password?

    You can click on the Forgot User ID & Pin link located at the bottom of the Login screen for assistance. You will then be redirected to the DBS/POSB digibank app to reset your password.

  • How do I turn on and off push notifications for DBS Lifestyle?

    Notifications for the DBS Lifestyle app can be controlled through your mobile device settings.

  • Why do I need to personalize my setting?

    Through personalization, the DBS Lifestyle app will remember the Deals and Rewards items that you have added to Favourites so that you can access them again the next time you log in. Afterwards, you can also continue to access your Favourites without logging in (Note: applicable only if you are using the same device).

    In addition, you can also enable “fingerprint login” for easy login with your fingerprint and Peek Balance to glance at your rewards balance without logging in.

  • What do I need to do to personalize my setting?

    You can access this by tapping on the right-most button at the bottom of the screen. This is the More button. It displays other features you can explore in the app. You can then select Settings, then Personalization to configure your personalization.

  • What happens to the deals that I have added to favourites?

    You will be able to view these deals at a glance from the home screen via the favourites button.

  • What are “Deals for you”?

    These are deals that have been selected for you based on both the preferences and location that you have set.

  • Can I see the deals/rewards that I have added to Favourites without logging in?

    Only users who have personalized their settings will be able to view the deals/rewards that have been added to Favourites without logging in. You can personalize your app by accessing the Personalization screen and enabling the Touch ID or Peek balance, or alternatively by editing your profile picture or nickname.

  • I prefer the older version of the DBS Lifestyle app. How can I restore the app?

    Unfortunately, the older version of the DBS Lifestyle app can no longer be accessed.

DBS Rewards

  • What are DBS Points and POSB Daily$?

    These are DBS Points / POSB Daily$ you can earn by charging retail purchases to your DBS/POSB cards. You can use these DBS Points / POSB Daily$ to exchange for a range of exciting reward items. The amount of DBS Points / POSB Daily$ awarded differs for every card.

  • What is Rewards Catalogue?

    It is a list of exciting reward items that you can redeem using your DBS Points, which are earned every time you charge to your card.

  • What is InstaRewards?

    With this new feature, you can redeem rewards instantaneously to offset your recent transactions via DBS Lifestyle app. Browse through your eligible expenses and simply tap to redeem.

    You will be able to offset your transactions and enjoy instant savings!

    Important note:

    • User has minimum $1 equivalent DBS points or daily$
    • Transaction amount ≥ $1
    • 100 DBS Points = $1 offset

  • How can I use my DBS Points / POSB Daily$ to offset my purchases?

    Step 1: From the home screen of DBS Lifestyle app, select Eligible Transactions/Expenses.
    Step 2: Select the purchase you want to offset DBS Points/ POSB Daily$ for.
    Step 3: Use the toggle to select the amount you want to offset with the corresponding DBS Points/ POSB Daily$.
    Step 4: Select “Redeem” and click “OK” to confirm.

  • What is InstaRewards in-Store?

    You can now offset your purchases instantly at participating merchant outlets. Simply launch the DBS Lifestyle app to see the list of participating merchant outlets.

  • How do I check my past InstaRewards redemption transactions? How far back can I view my transaction history?

    The latest transactions will be reflected on the Rewards homepage. You can click on “Select All” to view the full list of InstaRewards transaction history. You will only be able to view 90 days transaction history.

  • How can I check my DBS Points summary?

    From the Rewards homepage, you can tap on Rewards Balance to access the rewards menu. It will show your current points and expiry date.

Personal Finance

  • What does the My Card - History show?

    It will show your past credit card transaction history and how much you spent on each category.

  • How far back can I view my transaction history?

    You will be able to view your transaction history for the past 5 months and current month.

  • Why can’t I view my debit card transactions?

    This feature is only available for DBS/POSB Credit Cardholders currently.

  • Can I set more than one payment alert?

    You can select multiple alerts. They are applicable to the due dates of all cards. Due dates are per your latest statements.

Set alerts for payments

  • How do I set alerts for payments?

    Step 1: Tap on “More”.
    Step 2: Select “Settings”.
    Step 3: Select “Alerts & Notifications”.
    Step 4: Select “Set Payment Alerts and choose your preferred alerts.

  • Can I make payments directly on the DBS Lifestyle app?

    DBS Lifestyle app offers an entry way into the DBS Digibank SG app where you will be able to make your payments.

  • What if I don’t have the DBS Digibank SG app?

    If you attempt to make payment via DBS Lifestyle app but do not have the DBS Digibank SG app installed, you will instead be redirected to the Apple App Store or Google Play Store to download the app.


Activation of auto magnetic stripe for overseas use

  • What is auto-activation of magnetic stripe for overseas use?

    This new service will be able to detect your phone’s location and automatically turn the magnetic stripe on and off accordingly, providing convenience for your travel. We seek to provide you with greater peace of mind and added security for your future Card transactions.

  • How do I opt in for auto magnetic stripe for overseas use?

    Step 1: Select “More” from the sidebar.
    Step 2: Select “Card Services”.
    Step 3: Select “Activate Card For Overseas Use”.
    Step 4: Turn on the toggle for “Auto Activate/Deactivate”. You will be prompted to turn on Location Services for DBS Lifestyle app.
    Step 5: Select the Card Account from the Card Selection List.
    Step 6: Click "<" on top left corner and your options will be saved.

    Note: Location services is necessary for this feature.

  • How soon will my card’s magnetic stripe be activated/deactivated?

    Once the app detect your device’s new location, it will automatically activate / deactivate the magnetic stripe on your card. Once activated, you will be notified via SMS as well as Push Notification to your device.

  • How do I opt out of auto magnetic stripe for overseas use?

    Step 1: Select “More” from the sidebar.
    Step 2: Select “Card Services”.
    Step 3: Select “Activate Card For Overseas Use”.
    Step 4: Turn off the toggle for “Auto Activate/Deactivate”.

  • What do I need to do when I arrive overseas?

    Turn on your location service and be connected to local network/WIFI. You do not need to have data roaming. Once activated, you will be notified via SMS as well as Push Notification to your device.

  • Will I receive a Push Notification/SMS?

    Yes, you will receive both a push notification and an SMS when your cards’ magnetic stripe are auto activated or deactivated.

  • I am not currently overseas, but I received notification that my magnetic stripe has been activated. Why is this so?

    If you are currently located near the country’s borders, the GPS may confuse your actual location. Simply move further away to deactivate your magnetic stripe.

  • What if I change my phone?

    Your saved coupons, favourites are tied to your user ID and will be available in your new device when you download and login to the app on your new device. However, do note that your personalised settings are saved on your device so you will have to re-set up your personalisation setting.

  • What if I have already enable my Magnetic Stripe before? Will the auto activation mag stripe service overwrite my settings?

    Yes, the Auto Activation Magnetic Stripe feature will overwrite your existing settings.

Promotion Tracker

  • How do I know if I am eligible to sign up for this program?

    The campaign will be displayed on your dashboard and you can click on it to register. In addition, if you have enabled push notifications, you will receive alerts when new campaigns are launched.

  • How do I track my progress?

    The Spend Tracker on the dashboard provides an overview of how much more needs to be spent to qualify for the campaign.

  • I just made a purchase today, but my Spend Tracker has not been updated. What should I do?

    The Spend Tracker is updated on a daily basis. Please check again tomorrow to see the latest update.

  • For campaigns that require 2 or 3 months of consecutive spend, will I still qualify if I fail to meet the requirements for one of the months?

    Unfortunately, you will no longer qualify for the campaign.

  • What are the different transaction types allowed?

    The types of transaction allowed differs for every campaign. Please refer to the terms and conditions for the campaign you would like to participate in.

  • I only hold a supplementary card; can I still participate?

    No, only main card cardmembers can participate in the promotions. Any expenses the supplementary card cardmember make will go towards the main card cardmembers’s account.

  • How do I redeem the coupons that I have earned?

    Simply present the coupon on your phone at the store with your DBS/POSB Credit or Debit Card to enjoy the coupon.

  • I have met my spend goal, when can I receive my award?

    Kindly refer to the promotion details and terms and conditions for more information.

  • Why do my friends and I see different promotions on the app?

    Each promotion is specifically tailored to every customer based on a number of criteria. Hence, you and your friend may not view the same promotions.

  • How do I check my participated promotions?

    You can check this by selecting “See All” under the “Pick a Promotion” in the Home screen navigation bar, and then selecting the Participated tab.

Play Games

  • Where can I find games in the app?

    From time to time, on-going campaigns may include games through which you will be able to win prizes. The type of game and prizes differ for every campaign. You can refer to the game campaign details and terms and conditions for more information.

  • What are game chances?

    These are the number of opportunities you can win to play available games. They can be earned through retail purchase with specific DBS/POSB cards, or through activities that you can perform in the app throughout the campaign period. You can refer to the promotion details and terms and conditions for more information.

  • How can I get more game chances?

  • I won a prize, when will I get it?
