Can I walk into a branch to exchange for CNY notes without an online reservation?
Only customers aged 60 and above, those with disabilities, or individuals with a valid online reservation (at the selected branch, date and time) can exchange CNY notes at DBS/POSB branches. The exchange is limited to S$1,400 for Fit notes and S$800 for new notes per customer, subject to availability and operating hours.
Can I bring someone with me for CNY notes exchange?
To minimise overcrowding, customers aged 60 and above (based on year of birth) or customers with disabilities making CNY notes exchange can be accompanied by one other person.
What are the exchange limits for CNY notes, and can I request additional notes at the branches?
Exchanges are limited to a maximum of $1,400 in *Fit notes and S$800 in new notes. We are unable to provide additional notes. Alternatively, consider switching to cashless gifting via QR gift card. You will enjoy greater convenience, save time packing red packets, and contribute to a greener environment.

Where can I get red packets, and how many will I receive?
Starting 3 February 2026, DBS/POSB red packets will be available at DBS/POSB branches or pop-up ATMs at 16 Community Clubs. Each customer will receive one red packet pack (pack of 6) during notes exchange, subject to availability.
How can I recycle used red packets and QR Ang Baos?
Recycling bins for used red packets and QR Ang Baos are available at all DBS/POSB branches across Singapore during operating hours. Refer to the branch list here for locations.
