Restoring IDEAL access on a new device

Before restoring

Ensure that you already have access to DBS IDEAL. If you are setting up your access to DBS IDEAL access for the first time, refer to this article for a step-by-step guide.

Restoring

Download the DBS IDEAL mobile app on your mobile device. 

  • Android: Search for ‘DBS IDEAL mobile’ on Google Play Store, or scan this QR code to download the app: 

     
  • iOS: Search for ‘DBS IDEAL mobile’ on the App Store, or scan this QR code to download the app: 

     
  • Huawei: Search for ‘DBS IDEAL mobile’ on the App Gallery for Huawei, or scan this QR code to download the app: 
      

 

  1. Log into DBS IDEAL using your existing login details, via Email or Organisation ID.

  2. Select Yes, switch to this device when asked “Do you want to link your Digital Token to this device instead?”

  3. Enter the 6-digit One-Time Password (OTP) sent to your registered email address.

  4. Enter the 6-digit One-Time Password (OTP) sent to your registered mobile number.

  5. Select your preferred method of securing your digital token. We highly encourage you to set up biometric authentication on your device for greater security and ease of use.

  6. Set a 6-digit Digital Token PIN. When approving transactions in future, you will be asked to enter this PIN. 

Your digital token set up is now complete. You should receive a confirmation SMS and email upon completion. 

Digital token can only be registered on one device at any point in time. Registering a new digital token on a new device will automatically deactivate the digital token on your existing device. This is a security measure to prevent unauthorised access to your DBS IDEAL account.
