Frequently Asked Question

This Policy is designed exclusively for customers who are Singapore Residents aged between 18 and 64 years old (both ages inclusive). The Policy is renewable up to age 70 years old (age inclusive).

Singapore Resident means Singapore Citizen, Singapore Permanent Resident, or Holder of a valid Work Permit/Employment Pass/Long-Term Visit Pass/Dependant's Pass/S Pass issued by the authorities in Singapore.


The Policy’s period of insurance is 1 month if you are paying a monthly premium, and 1 year if you are paying an annual premium. The policy will be automatically renewed upon payment of the monthly/annual premium every month/year.


The premium is not age-dependent and does not increase as you grow older.


No, this is a Personal Accident policy that covers you for Accidental Injury, except for the Special Daily Hospital Cash Benefit that pays for hospitalisation due to Dengue Fever, Dengue Haemorrhagic Fever, Food Poisoning or Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease.

Accidental Injury means a bodily injury resulting from an accident caused by a sudden, unforeseen and fortuitous event.


Temporary Disablement refers to any disability caused by Accidental Injury which directly disables and prevents you from taking part in the usual employment or occupation temporarily.


At the end of every 12 consecutive months, you will receive a refund of 15% of the preceding 12 months’ premium (without interest and any statutory tax) if no claims for an event that occurred in that period are made.


This Policy provides coverage for the following occupations only while the Insured Person is off-duty at the time of Accidental Injury:

  • Armed and discipline forces including but not limited to the military, navy, air force, policemen, auxiliary police officers, customs officers, firemen, immigration officers or inspectors, and correctional service officers or inspectors
  • Professional sportsperson including motor sportsperson
  • Personnel working on board an aircraft

These are stated under the General Exclusions section in the Policy. Below are some key exclusions:

  • Pre-existing conditions
  • Deliberate and self-inflicted injury, suicide or, criminal or illegal act
  • Unlawful acts or wilful exposure to unnecessary danger (such as jaywalking or speeding) except in an attempt to save human life
  • Injury caused by the Insured Person while under the influence of alcohol or any drugs
  • Air travel except as a passenger in a fully licensed passenger carrying aircraft
  • Hazardous sports or activities involving parachuting, skydiving, hang gliding, ballooning, any kind of race (other than on foot or swimming) or trial of speed or reliability, potholing, mountaineering or rock climbing, or scuba diving.

You may cancel the Policy by giving Chubb 1-month prior notice. Please contact Chubb’s Customer Service Hotline for assistance.


The Policy will terminate:

  • Upon the date when the Accidental Death Benefit has been paid
  • Upon the date when 100% of the Accidental Permanent Disability Benefit has been paid
  • When the Insured Person is no longer a Singapore Resident
  • When the Insured Person reach the age of seventy-one (71) years old
  • Upon the death of the Insured Person

This policy is protected under the Policy Owners’ Protection Scheme which is administered by the Singapore Deposit Insurance Corporation ("SDIC"). Coverage for your policy is automatic and no further action is required from you.
