Important Update (as of 03 Nov 2021)

Please be updated that for students with monthly repayments set up via GIRO that the monthly deductions will only resume on 1 November 2021.

Loan Accounts with GIRO monthly repayments set up will be monitored for late fees charged and will be reversed accordingly if incurred due to non-deduction of monthly instalments/non-payment made in October.

Kindly note that the deduction amount on 1 November 2021 is also inclusive of any outstanding instalment amounts from prior to the suspension period on 01 June 2020.

Resumption of Repayment and Interest Accrual of Government Loans

  1. The Ministry of education (MOE) had previously announced on 28 May 2021 that the suspension of the repayment and interest accrual of government loans would be extended until 30 September 2021. As such the repayment and interest for the Tuition Fee Loan (TFL), Study Loan (SL) and Overseas Student Programme Loan (OSPL) will resume from 1 October 2021.
  2. The resumption of Repayment and Interest Accrual will also apply to non-MOE funded loans administered by DBS Bank.
  3. Borrowers who were already repaying their loans via GIRO before the loan suspension will have their existing GIRO arrangement with the banks reactivated from 1 October 2021. No further action is needed from you. For those who have yet to make arrangements on the repayment, please make the necessary repayment arrangements before 1 October 2021.

Monthly Instalment

  1. Login to Internet Banking and select "Pay Bills and Cards"
  2. Select “Add GIRO Arrangement”
  3. Under "Billing Organisation”, select “DBS CASHLINE/TFL/SL”
  4. Under "Bill Reference", please enter your loan account number in the format 00005xxxxxxx (12 digits)
  5. Under “Payment Limit”, please enter your monthly instalment amount
  6. Under “My Account”, please select your preferred account for the bank to perform the debiting
  7. Complete the action by clicking the “Next” button at the bottom, and then clicking “Submit” again at the next page

Full / Partial / Adhoc Repayment

Note : Processing time is up to 3 working days

  1. Login to Internet Banking and select "Pay Bills and Cards"
  2. On the right panel under "More options", select "Add a billing organisation"
  3. Under "Billing Organisation", select "DBS TFL/SL/POSB LA" from the drop-down list.
  4. Under “Bill Reference”, please enter your loan account number in the format 00005xxxxxxx (12 digits)
  5. Under "From Account", please select your preferred account for the bank to perform the debiting.
  6. Complete the action by clicking the “Next” button at the bottom, and then clicking “Submit” again at the next page.

    Note: Interest will continue to accrue during the processing period. PSEA funds also cannot be used for loans or amounts that had already been paid. If you do not wish to incur any accrued interest on the loan, please consider other non-PSEA immediate repayment options as listed above.
