Why did DBS Vickers introduce 2FA for online trading and what are the benefits?

DBS Vickers is committed to providing our customers with a high level of online security. 2FA is a stronger form of identity validation and authentication as it relies on:

    1. Information you know (that is your user ID and login password)
    2. Information DBS Vickers provides directly to you (One-time PIN generated by SMS)

Online fraud and mischief are becoming increasingly sophisticated and as they evolve, online security itself must advance to combat these threats. The usage of 2FA will mean a greater peace of mind for you when you trade online.

A SMS OTP and the 6-digit OTP will be sent to your registered mobile phone with DBS Vickers.

2FA is required when you perform any of the following transactions:

    1. Place, amend, and cancel order
    2. View order status
    3. View balances, holdings, settlements
    4. View activities, trade history
