Activate New Card

You can activate your new card easily using SMS Banking, digibank Online, digibank Mobile, DBS Lifestyle app or at our DBS/POSB ATM and Video Teller Machine (VTM).

Supplementary cards need to be activated independently from main cards, and can be activated even before the main card is activated.

SMS Banking
SMS the following keyword commands to 77767:
  • Activate <space> Last 4 digits of Card.
    E.g. Activate 1234
  • For foreign-registered mobile number, please use digibank Online or digibank.

Virtual Assistant

Activate your Card immediately via our Virtual Assistant.

digibank Online
  • Log in to digibank Online with your User ID and PIN.
  • Under Cards, select Activate Credit Cards or Activate Debit & ATM Cards and log in with your 6-Digit iB Secure PIN.
  • Select the Card that you wish to activate.
  • Accept the Terms and Conditions and click Next.

digibank Mobile
  • Log in to digibank Mobile with your Touch / Face ID or digibank User ID & PIN.
  • Tap More, under Manage Cards & Loans select Activate Cards.
  • Select Activate Credit Card or Activate ATM/Debit Card.
  • Select the card you wish to activate and tap Activate Card.

DBS Lifestyle app
  • Log in to DBS Lifestyle app with your digibank User ID and PIN.
  • Select More from the menu bar, then select Activate Card.
  • Select Activate Credit Card or Activate ATM/Debit Card.
  • Input your 6-Digit iB secure PIN (OTP).
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the activation.

Note: DBS Lifestyle app offers an entry way into the digibank app where you will be able to activate your card.

DBS/POSB ATM
ATM activation is available from 7am to 11pm (Mon-Sat) and 7am to 9.30pm (Sun and Public Holidays).
  • Insert your inactive New ATM/Debit/Credit Card.
  • Enter your New Card PIN* received in a separate mail.
  • Select More Services.
  • Select Cards/PIN/iBanking/Phonebanking.
  • Select Activate Card.
Follow instructions on the ATM screen to complete activation.

Note:
  • *You will receive your New Card PIN within 5 working days after you have received your New Card.

Video Teller Machine (VTM)
  • Insert your NRIC, ATM/Debit/Credit Card or scan your Passport and complete the authentication process.
  • Under Card Services, select Activate Card.
  • Insert your inactive New ATM/Debit/Credit Card.
  • Enter your New Card PIN* received in a separate mail.
  • Provide your NRIC Number, Nationality and Date of Birth.
  • Press Confirm to complete the activation.

Note:
  • *You will receive your New Card PIN within 5 working days after you have received your New Card.
