Activate New Card

You can activate your new card easily using digibank, DBS digibot, SMS Banking or at our DBS/POSB ATM and Video Teller Machine (VTM).


Important information

  • For customers without digibank access, you may visit go.dbs.com/sg-cardact to activate your new card.
  • Supplementary cards need to be activated independently from main cards, and can be activated even before the main card is activated.
  • Upon card activation, you may reset your card pin instantly via digibank. Learn More.
  • For activation of Business Advance Card, please submit the form to comcardsbu@dbs.com

How to Activate New Card

Activate your new card instantly via digibank online or digibank mobile. You may also activate your new card using DBS digibot, SMS Banking or at our DBS/POSB ATM or Video Teller Machine (VTM).

Log in to digibank mobile with your Touch / Face ID or digibank User ID & PIN.

Tap on More tab.

Under Manage Cards & Loans, tap Activate Cards.

Tap Activate Credit Card.

Tap on the Credit Card you would like to activate.

Review your request and tap Activate Card to complete your card activation request.

Select the Credit Card you would like to activate. Accept the Terms and Conditions and click Next.

Select the Debit/ATM Card you would like to activate. Accept the Terms and Conditions and click Next.

Scan the QR Code or Click on Activate Now below and proceed to enter your mobile number and the last 4 digits of the card you would like to activate.

Enter the 6 digit SMS Code sent to your mobile number and tap on Verify.

Congratulations, you have successfully activated your card.

Locate our nearest DBS/POSB ATM.
Follow instructions on the ATM screen to complete activation.

  • Insert your New Credit/Debit/ATM Card.
  • Enter your New Card PIN*.
  • Select More Services.
  • Select Cards/PIN/iBanking/Phonebanking.
  • Select Activate Card.
*Note:
  • If your card application is made online, use the PIN you have created.
  • For activation of Renewal Card or Damaged Card Replacement, please use the same PIN as your previous card, or the PIN you have created upon online application.
  • If you have received a PIN mailer, you may visit any DBS/POSB ATM in Singapore with your card and PIN sent.
  • If you did not receive a PIN mailer or have forgotten your PIN, you may activate your card and reset your PIN instantly via digibank. Find out how you can Reset Card PIN.
Locate our nearest Video Teller Machine (VTM).

  • Insert your NRIC, Credit/Debit/ATM Card or scan your Passport and complete the authentication process.
  • Under Card Services, select Activate Card.
  • Insert your New Credit/Debit/ATM Card.
  • Enter your New Card PIN*.
  • Provide your NRIC Number, Nationality and Date of Birth.
  • Press Confirm to complete the activation.

SMS the following keyword commands to 77767:
  • Activate <space> Last 4 digits of Card.
    E.g. Activate 1234
  • For foreign-registered mobile number, please use digibank online or digibank mobile app.
