Privatisation of United Engineers Limited

Sole Financial Adviser and Sole Financier

  • 2022 - DBS Bank is the sole sustainable finance adviser, lead manager and bookrunner for Ascott Residence Trust’s $200 million sustainability-linked bond. This is the first Singapore-listed real estate trust and the first hospitality trust globally to issue such a bond.
  • 2021 - DBS is the Sole Financial Adviser to Mapletree Commercial Trust for the proposed merger of Mapletree Commercial Trust and Mapletree North Asia Commercial Trust Management Ltd to create Mapletree Pan Asia Commercial Trust, an enlarged Asian-focused flagship commercial REIT positioned to be the proxy to key gateway markets of Asia.
  • 2020 – Sole Financial Advisor and Sole Financier to Yanlord Land Group Limited for the S$1.7 billion privatisation of United Engineers Limited. 

Marina Bay Sands Integrated Resort

Global Coordinator and Mandated Lead Arranger

  • 2019 – Global Coordinator and Mandated Lead Arranger for the S$8.671 billion syndicated financing for Marina Bay Sands Integrated Resort and the funding requirements for the development of its fourth tower.

CapitaLand Limited

Sustainability-linked loan

  • 2022 - For the acquisition of Jem, an integrated office and retail development by Lendlease Global Commercial REIT (LREIT), DBS was involved in the entire capital stack as the Joint Mandated Lead Arranger and Bookrunner and Joint Sustainability Coordinator for the largest sustainability-linked loan of S$860 million amongst Asia Pacific REITs at that point, the Joint Mandated Lead Arranger and Bookrunner for its equity fund raising and Joint Financial Advisor and Issuance Manager for its perpetual issuance.
  • 2018 – Sole Lender for the first and largest sustainability-linked loan in Asia’s real estate sector to CapitaLand Limited. This was a S$300 million multi-currency sustainability-linked loan and was also Singapore’s largest sustainability-linked financing provided by a sole lender in 2018. 

GreenLoa

Green Loan

  • 2022 - DBS extended an AUD 295 million green loan to GIC for the refinancing of Chifley Tower Sydney, an iconic development in the heart of Sydney’s Central Business District. Chifley Tower Sydney has attained Green Star certification by the Green Building Council of Australia as well as a 5.5-Star NABERS energy rating. The facility is one of the largest green loans extended by a Singapore lender in the Australia market.
