Paying taxes to IRAS

Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) has provided a variety of options to pay your tax dues. Your DBS Corporate account can be used to pay tax using most of the methods. Please refer below on step-by-step guides for the most popular payment methods.

Automate tax payments with GIRO for better cash flow management (Most popular!)

Set up monthly GIRO deductions for corporate tax, GST, and property tax to avoid lump sum payments and ensure timely compliance.

  • Enjoy up to 10 interest-free monthly instalments by using GIRO for Corporate’s Estimated Chargeable Income or up to 12 months interest-free instalments for property tax payments. Your tax payments can also be easily tracked and be made on time, while tax credits can be refunded to your own bank account faster! 
  • The setup process requires you to initiate the Giro setup from the IRAS portal.
  • You will be redirected to DBS IDEAL to complete the setup and authorise before your Giro application will be accepted.

Make one-time corporate tax payments via DBS IDEAL

Submit ad-hoc payments for tax obligations like income tax, property tax, GST or withholding tax directly from your DBS Corporate Account. This payment mode is ONLY applicable to Corporate Tax, Property Tax, GST and Withholding Tax.

Step by Step Guide:

  • Log in to your internet banking portal.
  • Select the payment option that allow you to make bill payment(s).
  • Select " IRAS" as the Billing Organisation.
  • Enter Tax Reference Number (unmasked) ONLY if you have selected:
    1. IRAS-INCOME TAX
    2. IRAS-PROPERTY TAX
    Enter the 14-Digit Payment Slip Number ONLY if you have selected:
    3. IRAS-OTHERS (For GST and Withholding Tax)

Pay corporate taxes on mobile using PayNow QR

Use the DBS IDEAL Mobile App to scan IRAS-issued QR codes and complete tax payments securely and conveniently from your phone. IRAS has provided step-by-step guides on making payments using PayNow QR here:

Simplify recurring CPF payments with GIRO Direct Debit (Most popular!)

The most convenient way to make payments for CPF contributions is through Direct Debit. 

With Direct Debit Authorisation (DDA), once you have submitted and confirmed your monthly CPF contributions, the payment will be automatically deducted. 

  • The setup process requires you to initiate the eGiro setup from the CPF portal. You will be redirected to DBS IDEAL to complete the setup and authorise before your eGiro application will be accepted.

Quick CPF payments with PayNow QR on mobile For flexible payments, scan PayNow QR codes using DBS IDEAL Mobile to pay CPF contributions easily and on the go. You can pay your levy using GIRO or PayNow QR

Automate levy payments with GIRO (Most popular!) 

Enjoy hassle-free payments with GIRO. Your monthly levy will be automatically deducted from your DBS Corporate Account.

To apply for eGIRO:

  1. Log in to MOM’s Check and pay foreign worker levy eService , and click ‘Apply GIRO’.
  2. Select DBS as your bank and you will be redirected to DBS IDEAL to complete the application.
  3. Ensure your company’s approver authorises the eGIRO request in DBS IDEAL within 48 hours before the application expires.

Use PayNow QR for levy payments

Make instant payments using PayNow QR:

  1. Log in to MOM’s Check and pay foreign worker levy eService.
  2. Generate a QR code by selecting ‘Make payment via PayNow’.
  3. Open your DBS IDEAL mobile app and scan the PayNow QR code.
  4. Check that your payment is reflected in MOM’s eService.

Note: You must generate a new QR code for each payment. Do not save the UEN for future payments as it may not be identified in MOM’s portal.
 
Unidentified payments may lead to:

  • Late payment penalties.
  • Disruptions to your work pass privileges, affecting your ability to hire or renew work passes
  • Revocation of your existing work passes due to levy default. A fee might be incurred for reinstatement of these work passes.
