Modes of Local Funds Transfer in SGD (FAST, Interbank Funds Transfer, PayNow)

There are various methods to transfer funds to other Bank’s account via digibank. Here are the key differences:

FAST (Fast And Secure Transfers)

FAST is an electronic service that allows you transfer SGD funds almost instantly between participating banks and non-bank financial institutions (NFIs).

Interbank Funds Transfer

For banks not participating in FAST, fund transfers in SGD will not be immediate and will be completed within 2-3 business days:
  • For funds submitted before 8pm on a working day, funds will be available after 2 working days.
  • For funds submitted after 8pm on a working day, funds will be available after 3 working days.

  • Recipient's Bank Name
  • Recipient's Bank Account Number

PayNow

PayNow is an electronic fund transfer service that allows you to transfer SGD funds instantly to a payee, using the payee's designated mobile number or NRIC/FIN number instead of his/her bank account number. Learn more.

  • Recipient’s NRIC/FIN number

  • The transfer limit is up to S$200,000 daily. Learn more about how to change local funds transfer limits.
  • If you are transferring funds to the following banks and non-financial institutions (NFIs), please be advised that you can do so via ' Transfer to Other Bank Account (FAST)' or via PayNow. Other methods of transfers are not accepted by these banks and NFIs.

How to Transfer Funds to Other Bank's Account

Log in to digibank mobile with your Touch / Face ID or digibank User ID & PIN.

Under Home, click on Pay & Transfer.

Select Local Fund Transfer

Select the Recipient you wish to transfer to.

Select the Fund Source you wish to transfer from and enter the Amount you wish to transfer. Tap Next.

Review the details and tap Transfer Now to complete the transfer.

Select the Purpose of Transfer and add Comments for the recipient if you wish to. Click Next.

How to Transfer in Foreign Currencies to Other Local Banks

You can perform a funds transfer in foreign currencies to another local bank through Telegraphic Transfer, where agent fees will apply. There are various channels available and the most convenient method would be via digibank mobile.

Under Home, click on Pay & Transfer ,followed by Overseas.

Select Add Overseas Recipient.

On Select Location, tap on Singapore.

Enter or search for your recipient’s bank SWIFT Code. Tap Next.

Enter your recipient’s personal & bank account details. Tap Next to review, and Tap Add Recipient Now.
