Important information

  • For Joint trading accounts, applicants who are paying tax in other countries and existing DBS Vickers offline customers who wish to apply for an online account, you are required to apply via the application form.
  • You will receive your DBS Vickers Online Trading Account Number/User ID via SMS and Email within 3-5 working days of application. If you lost/forgot your Account Number/User ID, learn more on how to retrieve your DBS Vickers Trading Account Number/User ID.
  • You will also receive a trading account password sent by Post within 3-5 working days of receiving your Account Number/User ID.
  • To start trading in the US Markets, you will need to submit your W-8BEN Form through DBS Vickers Online , mTrading App, electronically or by mail and Activate your Foreign Markets Trading Access.
  • Certain restrictions may apply to Australia and Canada citizens/residents. Our Vickers Client Services team will be contacting you via email to request for additional information after you have submitted your online application.
  • We are unable to open accounts for U.S., Nigeria, and South African citizens/residents due to tax reporting requirements and/or internal policies.

What do I need to apply for a DBS Vickers Online Trading Account

Please ensure you fulfill the following before proceeding with the application:

For Singaporean/PR
  • A copy of NRIC (Front & Back)
For Foreigner
  • Front and back of Malaysia Identity Card (for Malaysians) or​
  • A copy of valid Passport, with at least 6 months validity (for other nationalities)​
  • Latest copy of your Residential Address proof (Bank/CPF/IRAS Statement dated within 3 months)
  • Employment Pass (if applicable)

Log in to digibank online with your User ID & PIN.

Complete the Authentication Process.

Click Apply on the left menu and select View all under Invest.

Under Equities, select on DBS Vickers Online Account and click Apply now.

Read through the information and click Start.

Select Yes if you have an existing CDP account and enter your CDP account number online linkage. Under Common Reporting Standards (CRS), select Yes if you are a tax resident in Singapore only and enter your TIN number (if any). Click Next.

Verify your Residential details, select your Residential status and enter Personal details.

Select accordingly to declare on your relations to any employee/existing client of DBS Vickers and Spouse details. Click Next.

Enter your Employment details, Net worth and click Next.

Under Settlement, select the debiting account you wish to settle your trades. Click Next.

Upload all of your required supporting documents. Click Next.

  • You can choose to link an existing Multi-Currency Account (MCA) or set up a new MCA for trade settlement and dividend crediting purposes. The MCA settlement account is compulsory for all new customers. If your DBS Multi-Currency Account is linked to your DBS Vickers trading account, you do not need to maintain any minimum balance for the linked DBS Multi-Currency Account as the fall-below-fee will be waived.
  • If you have an existing CDP account, you may fill in your account number for online linkage.
