FAQs
What is a Virtual Account?

A Virtual Account (VA) is an account created and assigned to your customers, e.g. a main distributor or buyer. This makes it easy for your company to differentiate each payment from the payment source. Payments made to a VA will be automatically directed into the account registered for that VA.

Do I need a DBS Business Account to use a VA?

Yes, you will need to have a Business Account with us to use this service. Your business account will act as your Master Account that gets credited when your payers pay into a Virtual Account.

Can VA collect other currencies apart from SGD?

Yes, Virtual Accounts can be used for all major currencies.

How many VA numbers can I create?

You can create as many Virtual Account numbers as required for your business. Each Virtual Account number has 31 digits and you can customise the last 25 digits.

When I get paid via my VA number, does it go to my master account?

Yes, your funds will go directly to your master account. VA serves only as a mirror account for the actual master account. The purpose of a VA is to give you a better process for consolidation and tracking of receivables.
