While many SMEs have digitalised their business to drive efficiency, increase productivity and adapt to consumer needs, they have also increased their exposure to potential cyberattacks. 4 in 10 crimes committed in Singapore in 2020 were cybercrime, and SMEs accounted for almost 40% of all cyberattacks.

To help protect SMEs, we have rolled out a complimentary cybersecurity training for SMEs and their employees. Developed by DBS’ technology teams, the DBS #CyberWellness programme has 12 modules covering topics such as phishing, digital scams and password protection. DBS SME customers can also enjoy preferential rates on cyber security insurance

Quality content
Created inhouse by DBS’ cybersecurity team, the content is updated at least once a year. The programme includes 12 modules covering topics such as phishing, digital scams and password protection.

More convenience
DBS #CyberWellness is an online programme you can do on your laptop or mobile. Users can either complete the programme in one session, or split it over a few days. It will take you less than two hours to complete it.

Eligibility

To enjoy DBS #CyberWellness, your business must:

  • be registered and incorporated in Singapore with at least 30% local shareholdings (Singaporeans or Permanent Residents)
  • have an annual sales turnover (at group level) of not more than SGD100 million or employment size not exceeding 200 employees

Do note that selected deals (such as preferential rates on Chubb’s cyber insurance policies) are available to DBS SME customers only.

Where do I sign up for DBS #CyberWellness?

Click here to register your company up for the programme and a DBS representative will contact you in 3-5 business days. Do note that we will only accept corporate email addresses for this programme, and we will not enrol employees with ‘gmail’, ‘hotmail’ or any personal email addresses.

Why should I register my employees for this?

SMEs with a digital presence are becoming increasingly exposed to potential cyberattacks. According to the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA), over four in ten crimes committed in Singapore in 2020 were cybercrime, with over 16,000 such cases reported the same year. SMEs accounted for almost 40 per cent of all cyberattacks in Singapore. It is therefore crucial for SMEs to protect themselves against cybercrime.

What is required from the SME?

For the DBS #CyberWellness programme to run smoothly for your company, we recommend appointing your HR manager or IT manager to work with us to facilitate the programme.

Who should enrol for the programme?

Any employee with a corporate email address should undergo this training.

How often can my company enrol for this programme?

The content is refreshed at least once every year, and we encourage SMEs to participate annually.

What is the duration of the programme?

Once we have started your employees on the programme, you will have a two-week window for everyone to complete it. Employees have the option of completing it in one session, or split it up over the two weeks.
