Speakers

Tan Su Shan

Group Head, Institutional Banking, DBS

Su Shan is Group Head of Institutional Banking at DBS and she also serves as the President Commissioner for PT Bank DBS Indonesia. Prior to leading the IBG business, she was responsible for leading the group’s Consumer Banking and Wealth Management business for close to a decade. The Asset named Su Shan as one of six women in Asia who are likely to influence and feature prominently in shaping the banking and associated financial services industry in Asia in 2019. In 2018, she was nominated by Forbes Magazine as a “Top 25 emergent Asian Woman Business leader”. In the same year, she was also named “Retail Banker of the Year” by the Digital Banker in their inaugural Global Retail Banking Innovation Awards. She was also awarded the “Lifetime Achievement” award at the WealthBriefingAsia 2018 Awards and the “Excellence Award” at Her Times’ Women Empowerment Awards 2018. Her Times’ Women Empowerment Awards recognises women who have contributed significantly to business, community, women empowerment and Singapore-Indonesia bilateral relations. In October 2014, Su Shan became the first Singaporean to be recognised as the world’s “Best Leader in Private Banking” by PWM/ The Banker, a wealth publication by the Financial Times Group. From 2012-2014, she also served as a Nominated Member of Parliament in Singapore. Su Shan is also an independent board director of Mapletree North Asia Commercial Trust and Aetos Holdings, both Temasek-linked entities.

Koh Kar Siong

Managing Director, SME Banking, Institutional Banking Group, Singapore, DBS

Kar Siong has 26 years of working experience under his belt in Banking. He joined DBS in 2003 and is currently the Head of SME Institution Banking Group of DBS Singapore. As a member of the Singapore Country Management Committee, he is responsible for the growth of the middle market segments of the small and medium size enterprises in Singapore. Prior to this role, Kar Siong assumed an overseas assignment in Shanghai, China to lead the China Consumer Banking & Wealth Management team in building a sustainable and growing consumer & wealth business, through providing high-quality service and tailor-made asset/liability portfolio solutions for clients. For the last 16 years, Kar Siong has taken on numerous senior leadership roles and responsibilities within DBS Group covering both local and regional franchises. He was previously the Board of Director DBS Vickers Securities Holdings and currently Board of Director with DBS Bank (Taiwan) Ltd.

Paul Yong Pau Lee

Senior Vice President, Group Research, DBS

Paul Yong, CFA, leads DBS Bank’s regional research coverage on Aviation, Transport and Tourism. He has over 15 years of experience in covering equities in the ASEAN and HK/China markets. He has received numerous awards from Asiamoney and Thomson Reuters over these years. Most recently, Paul was recognised by the Asiamoney Broker Polls 2017 and the Thomson Reuters Analyst Awards 2016 as the second best analyst for Transportation and the top stock picker in the Resources & Infrastructure sector in Singapore respectively. Paul has also spoken at a number of conferences, the most recent of which was at GAD Asia 2018 (Airport Privatisation and Finance). He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy and a Master’s Degree in Finance from RMIT University, Australia.

Alok Balachandran

Senior Operations Manager, Strategy & Planning, Deliveroo

Alok is a Senior Operations Manager at Deliveroo. He heads the Operations Strategy & Planning team with a focus to ensure that food orders are delivered on time. He is responsible for both short-term rider supply planning and long-term operational efficiency growth for Deliveroo in Singapore. Prior to Deliveroo, Alok worked at Uber, where he focused on driver operations and logistics for Uber’s ride-hailing business in Singapore. Alok holds a Bachelor of Business Management from Singapore Management University.

Andrew Tan

Chief Executive Officer, atomi pte ltd

A shopaholic with a background in management consulting, Andrew Tan is in the luxury business of life in style. He founded and co-run atomi with his wife Mitsuko, a Singapore-based Japan-centric company that has brought everything that epitomise Japanese Designs x Comfortable Lifestyle. He is also the managing partner for atomi Consulting which advises retail businesses, government agencies, mall and property owners in Singapore and Japan, with the ability to converse in English, Chinese and Japanese. Prior to entrepreneurship in 2009, he has extensive management & IT consulting, corporate experience working in a range of sectors, including consumable products, IT, public sector and financial industry, in Asia Pacific, US, and Europe. Since 2009, he has established atomi as the leading B2B and B2C business specializing in Japanese designs x Comfortable lifestyle. Under his leadership continue to post excellent results annually with strong growth & amazing media exposure, with numerous TV show appearances in both Singapore & Japan, featured in magazines and newspapers, in both printed and online publications. He has taken on consulting projects for Singapore listed company, listed and privately owned Japanese companies and prefectural government who are looking into venturing outside Japan and take on the global markets.

Andy brings with him more than 14 years of experiences in areas of GS1 Supply Chain Standards, Automatic Identification & Data Capture (AIDC) Technologies, Traceability Systems and Technical Solutions. He has been a GS1 Standards advocator for many years covering retail, foodservice, healthcare and transport/logistic sectors. He believes that standards cannot work in isolation and collaboration with technology/solution providers is key to unlock the full potential of GS1 Standards for supply chain management.

Dale Mulert

Head of SP eCommerce, SP eCommerce, Singapore Post

Dale Mulert is a solutions focused eCommerce professional with more than 20 years of experience in business development, order management, web development and B2B and B2C Marketing. Over the years, Dale has led enterprise application development, managed eCommerce microsites in product niches and directed business internet marketing initiatives. Equipped with in-depth understanding, extensive knowledge and acumen of highly-competitive online markets, and fast-changing technologies, Dale has a solid record of success in establishing and expanding new markets, driving online marketing plans and strategies, and creating effective e-business and technical solutions to complex issues. Highlights of his career include launching marketplace management practice for Jagged Peak - building client's revenue to over US$6million in one year, the roll-out and effective promotion of 50 e-commerce websites; the successful development and support of new e-business software applications and processes, and the streamlining of new product introductions to companies.

Joe Choa

Managing Director, UrbanFox Singapore

Mark Joseph Panganiban

Committee Chairman (eCommerce), Fintech Philippines Association Philippines

Mark is the General Manager at Dragonpay, Corp., the pioneer and the leading alternative payment solutions provider in the Philippines. Concurrently, he is the Chairman of the eCommerce Committee at the Fintech Philippines Association, an inclusive financial trade organisation in the Philippines and an Industry Ambassador to the Digital Commerce Association of the Philippines, a non-profit, non-stock organisation founded by the key players in the digital commerce industry in the Philippines, commonly known as DCOM.? With the Philippine eCommerce Roadmap 2020/2022 in place, he is actively involved in various e-commerce conversion activities with different clientele. Nicole is passionate about the consumer and strives for top performance when delivering the product to the markets.
