<strong> Why is Chickenpox Vaccination important?</strong>
Chickenpox is a highly contagious disease caused by the varicella-zoster virus (VZV). It can cause an itchy, blister-like rash. Serious complications from chickenpox are rare, but they do happen, even in otherwise healthy children and adults. Life-threatening complications such as pneumonia or encephalitis (inflammation of the brain) can be caused by chickenpox.

Two doses of the chickenpox vaccine are more than 90% effective at preventing chickenpox. When you get vaccinated, you protect yourself and others in your family and community. This protection is especially important for people who cannot get vaccinated, such as those with weakened immune systems, or pregnant women.

<strong> What are the Government’s Subsidies for Nationally Recommended Vaccination?</strong>
Vaccinations provide personal protection against important vaccine-preventable infectious diseases and help achieve herd immunity in the population. To improve the affordability and accessibility of these services, the Government is providing subsidies for nationally recommended vaccinations.

<li> Singaporean Adults (aged 18 years or older) who are Pioneer Generation (PG) or Merdeka Generation (MG) or CHAS Blue/Orange Cardholders; <strong><u>AND</strong></u> </li>
<li> who have not been previously vaccinated, or lack evidence of past infection or immunity. </li>

<strong> Terms and Conditions:</strong>

<li> By redeeming the voucher, you are deemed to have consented to Alliance Healthcare PL or/and its panel clinics verifying your identification details, CHAS status and claiming the relevant subsidies from the Government for the vaccine given. </li>
<li> For individuals who fulfill the <strong>*Eligibility Criteria</strong> and are <strong>CHAS Green/Non-CHAS Cardholders</strong>, a charge of <strong>S$8.00 nett</strong> per vaccination is required to be paid to the clinic. </li>
<li> For individuals who do not fulfill the <strong>*Eligibility Criteria</strong>, a charge of <strong>S$80.00</strong>(excluding GST) per vaccination is required to be paid to the clinic. </li>
<li> When you enjoy subsidies under the scheme, your personal data may be collected and shared with the Ministry of Health (MOH) and its authorised parties (which include polyclinics, their affiliates including but not limited to hospitals, clinics, institutions, healthcare practitioners and other related entities, and other parties appointed by MOH) to (i) process, verify and audit your subsidy claims; (ii) contact you, if necessary, to verify claims/visits details; and (iii) review and improve the scheme. However, if you wish to withdraw your consent to the sharing and use of your personal data, please inform the clinic staff. By doing so, you can still be treated at the clinic, but you will not be eligible for the subsidies and a charge of <strong>S$80.00</strong>(excluding GST) per vaccination is required to be paid to the clinic. </li>
<li> The voucher is valid while stock lasts and must be redeemed within 3 months from the purchase date. </li>
<li> The terms and conditions are subject to change without prior notice. </li>
